Quick takeaways:
- I love how understated yet real the violence is. I mean if you've seen people get shot for real you know it ain't movie effects, a lot of times it's not nearly as dramatic. This is a good way to do it in the MCU. Not a bunch of focus on the gore but I had fun keeping a body count, them nikkas in the helicopter? DIGGITY DEAD
- I loved how they didn't make it a big deal about Rhodey, made me smile seeing them together because I don't remember them having much screen time together. This isn't a 'black' show but between their camaraderie and his sister, who is beautiful btw, I feel at home already.
- I love how we have shifted from world bend, world ending scenarios with cosmic threats to coming back down to earth, caring about one person so intensely, like some old man who lost a child. This is an Marvel movie, but how different/less believable can this really be than something like Bad Boys or Lethal Weapon? The quality of this first episode shows a lot of potential for what can be done with Marvel in the realm of TV.
