I hope they do another season and if they do a Cap 4 with Sam in the lead role and Buck co-starring, find a way to maybe have Isaiah in there. Was so dope for them to use the character. Would like some more of his backstory.
I assume Elijah’s turn to Patriot will probably involve Isiah and more of his story to the other soldiers experimented on.

It’s one thing for Sam but his own grandson might give him a bit more pause.

He sounded like he wanted to become an agent of change while acknowledging the facts on the ground not ignoring them.

To pretend to be that agent of change he has to ignore any number of facts on the ground that have existed before him. Again, that's the point of his character, to insert the "we can be better" in place of the obvious: "do we* want to be better?"

That's the mind game. Ignore evidence, turn the other cheek, rise above, make them like/accept you. Any cursory look will show how well that's working.

Why is he pretending? To act like any number of leaders, trailblazers and martyrs have not improved the conditions on the ground is disingenuous about 'doing better'.
And what's the alternative to rising above? The rest Sam actually addressed in the show. He knows everyone won't like him, and he acknowledged the past evidence. And turn the other cheek?! Did you watch the show? lol

All of those leaders have been suborned, assimilated, murdered or incarcerated. The remainder are allowed to "do better" as long as they behave, and that "better" is a shackle all it's own. Acknowledgement in and of itself is pointless without justice, very much like the Bradley statue in the show. And regarding the turn of the other cheek, we inevitably circle back round to the basic question every adult has to ask and answer to themselves about - or mentally dance around in order to maintain the lie - when this discussion comes back around:

Cui bono?

They also moved the needle in the name of progress while doing so.
Justice isn't anything any individual can or should try and dispense it can only be done on a grander societal scale.

But for real though, as much shyt we give Anthony Mackie for his acting, he does the “Sam Wilson- guidance counselor” and just Sam Wilson- the man, really well when playing off other people.

The convo with Karli where he got her comfortable enough to talk to him, the interactions with Zemo last episode, the interactions with Bucky and even Steve throughout his MCU appearances.

Breh knows how to radiate kindness, patience and understanding in those moments.

Prolific posting.
Put even more spect on that man name.
