Like seriously DC dropping the ball I hope the new batman movies have the bat family

DC stop and start movies and universes too often to really flesh out the side characters. Robin usually gets introduced 2-3 movies in and by then it's time to hit reset. Outside of the Batman trilogy its amazing how badly they keep fumbling the ball.

But the question they're asking is did Sam really "get it". Was there really an evolution in his character in terms of understanding race in America? Some felt on the panel for example he should have mentioned Isiah in his speech

Of course he doesn't "get it". That's the entire point of his character having been made Captain America, to change the nature of the discussion so that people are inspired/led by the nose not to get it.

How was that ever THE discussion on this show?

It's one of many, obviously. And also obviously, it becomes of of the major ones when they introduce a character like Bradley and what he's gone through, as though Sam Wilson's nobility of spirit is shield enough (heh) against what very clearly is the prevailing M.O. for the nation.

Sam says his only super power is he thinks we can do better. He is obviously aware what the prevailing MO of the nation is and him putting on a costume doesn't change it.

Yes. And the discussion at hand is whether or not it's a wise choice to ignore all evidence afforded him and embark on Einstein's insanity experiment anyway.
