Robin has never got his just due in cinema. It's a travesty really with all the Batman movies over the years.

Yeah, what's the name of this story again? The way it is structured with a slew of Marvel characters I was thinking if it was a good idea to make it an overarching storyline in the MCU?

Original Sin.

Even though the MCU would butcher it like everything else they touch. To properly tell that story you have to tell a slew of other ones, and they'd inevitably make a Frankenstein job of it like they did with Civil War.

Not really, I read it without reading other stories. I guess you would have to establish The Watcher but other than that I can't think of much else

To get a feel for how Fury thinks you'd have to go a little deeper. Maybe not all the way back to the old Zodiac comics, but still. Secret War, absolutely. Secret Warriors too. Those establish his commitments, and juxtapose just how much of an extreme move Original Sin becomes.
