How was it lazy?

Based on some of the criticisms in here i think y'all are making a mistake by not watching this like you would Bad Boys, Lethal Weapon, or Rush Hour

They touch on serious themes but at its heart this show is a buddy cop action comedy

That phonecall scene and the I TOLD YOU TO GO LEFT argument during the shootout was straight outta some shyt like Bad Boys

No one is going to force someone to answer the phone like that
It was just there to drum up conflict Sam could’ve been like I’m going to kill the manager talk to you later and hung up
I never said anything bad about the I told you to go left scene

Random i just watched Antman & Antman & Wasp again and realized how essential both are to this Avengers universe

I expect the first two episodes to at least clearly establish some plot going forward. They didn't. At all. That is the purpose of the first two eps and they were all over the place. Also I had other complaints as well. None of the Avengers in AOU are even here in the fist place. Also his hatred of Super Soldiers was established in Civil War. Bucky was a means to an end as he said. Also, when has Bucky cared about optics? Also, when have Bucky and Sam trusted him in so far as they HAVE TO?

The first 2 eps established:

1. Sam feels he can't fill Cap's shoes.
2. Sam is having trouble adapting to the "civilian life" after his time with The Avengers.
3. Bucky has PTSD from his time as The Winter Soldier.
4. There's a terrorist organization that's most likely enhanced. Later we find out they have the super soldier serum.

What more did you want, from 2 episodes?

And no, Falcon wasn't in "AOU". Neither was T'Chaka, or any of the various people Zemo killed in "Civil War". So that's a moot point.

Zemo is a villain. I get that he wants to wipe out the super soldiers. But Sam and Bucky bring nothing to the table as far as that.

Zemo told them about Madripoor, the woman they met there, the doc who modified the serum....he had no reason to share any of that with them.

Hell, he even created fake personas to keep them safe. Why in the actual fukk would he do that?

It's just poor, poor writing man.

And as far as optics....I didn't say Bucky. I said Sam. The idea that Falcon would associate with a known terrorist is ridiculous. Especially when they've shown the double standards and racism he has to deal with.

It's obvious the show is modeled after those movies but peoplet prefer specific movies out of those series, based on quality. Especially when dealing with sequels.
