Exactly! A lot of ppl miss that point. In “Infinity War” tha Avengers were scattered out, not unified n Thanos beat them like a drum. Cap told Tony waaaay back in Avengers 2 that when Thanos does come back to Earth we’ll beat him “together”. Sure enough in “Endgame” when tha Avengers were unified, they beat Thanos.

Even with them together I don’t think they are beating him with the gauntlet. Plus he would of won in Endgame if scarlet witch & Captain marvel weren’t there.

so given the above and the fact that John Wick director hreh is new to the TV genre and its constraints, it's no wonder it felt different and not as technically and narrative set within the established context and genre limitations.

also Spellman did a good job of keeping "heart" and "people" at the centre of the narrative and that is another thing that ep. 3 was lacking.

That's why that whole sequence felt familiar and John Wick-ish. The club and Sharon's fight in Madripoor.

I will say that even if you've watched every MCU project since 2008, it's hard to keep up with every Easter egg and clue that's tied to previous projects. And if you're not up on the comics, the x-men Easter eggs went way over your head.

It seems like marvel is using these tv shows to test how far the want to push explicit content as well.

They really should have extended that shot and had Zemo go full Techno Viking.

Agree with @hex this Zemo shyt went way too fast. Like I of course fully expect him to betray them but the fact that they were so quick to help him bust out and chop it up with him is a major misfire.

To be fair they only have 6 eps to work with. A lot of things will end up feeling rushed.

idk but from what i remember in the comics thanos never really loses physically when he gets overpowered weapons like ig or hotu. he has a change of heart or his body cant handle the power. i may be wrong though. i dont read comics like that but ill scan through wiki or listen to someone explain the story on YT to be honest.
