you ain't lying. It wouldn't matter if the writing is still as bad as it is now

Be real bruh, the first Iron Man was the only good story out of his three movies. And the villain in that one is at the bottom of the MCU. But RDJ was so amazing in the role throughout that he made Iron Man Superman and Batman level popular.Another reason your comparison doesn't work is because pre MCU Tony Stark was a B tier character
Good writing and story will elevate anyone
The writing and storytelling have gotten bad
Thats fine but spiderman and batman outsell everything (but the ensemble avengers movies), everytime, because they’re the biggest heroesAnother reason your comparison doesn't work is because pre MCU Tony Stark was a B tier character

Notice you used Suicide Squad and not The Suicide Squad. Which was more successful to you? One made the director the head of a prestigious comic book studio. The other director has not had a movie in theaters since despite their respective box office numbers.YOU brought up that brick shang chi, not me. It has no purpose in a conversation with superman or batman. SUICIDE SQUAD almost doubled that movie’s box office
And multiple movies based on those characters have come out and weren't that successful for the most part.It wouldn't matter if the writing is still as bad as it is now
Batman does not outsell Ironman, Captain America, Black Panther or Captain Marvel. I know you are stickler for accuracy. lolThats fine but spiderman and batman outsell everything (but the ensemble avengers movies), everytime, because they’re the biggest heroes
You're making it strictly about sells and I'm telling you that's not the hill you wanna die onThats fine but spiderman and batman outsell everything (but the ensemble avengers movies), everytime, because they’re the biggest heroes
I mean, the cracks in the MCU have been prevalent since at least Phase Two.
Phase Two is fukking except for Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
You’re using two outliers: gotg, which was very different, great, and had strong word of mouth, and captain marvel which starred brie larson, and was at the peak of marvel’s boxoffice powers.Notice you used Suicide Squad and not The Suicide Squad. Shang Chi came out during the pandemic and was not released in the market it was mainly made for in the first place. Maybe give that some consideration?
Superman and Batman haven't had a billion dollar movie in over a decade but Captain Marvel did it her first try.
Maybe popularity of character had little to do with box office success of comic book movies.
WHERE ARE THE GOTDAMN MUTANTS AND DOOM!!!!!
Which is why I like the fact they are not rushing with them just to have them out there. Time to develop should give them time to put stuff out to have the A team back in the throne where they belong. It wouldn't matter if the writing is still as bad as it is now
If you pivot from box office success, and talk word of mouth tell me about the reception of:You're making it strictly about sells and I'm telling you that's not the hill you wanna die on
When you make these arguments strictly about numbers you end up with the mess we have now. This is why nikkas allowed mid in the first place. Any criticism would be shut down by "Ok but it made a billion dollars tho"
Word of mouth will always be king. Word of mouth is the reason why the MCU numbers have dropped. Word of mouth is how Guardians became a huge property.
You can't just rely on Spiderman and Batman. Good storytelling should always be the priority

Uh I never mentioned GotG. lol Accuracy. You’re using two outliers: gotg, which was very different, great, and had strong word of mouth, and captain marvel which starred brie larson, and was at the peak of marvel’s boxoffice powers.
Shang chi BRICKED
Eternals BRICKED
Black widow BRICKED
The popularity does matter especially when theyre not positioned in other movies first.
