Well, they kinda did...but that shyt flopped.

They also developed a 3d version that got cancelled

It flopped cause it wasn't vs series gameplay.
If they make a capcom call stars and just make it a vs game and not this bullshyt it will be fine.

Maybe I'm just old and too far removed, but if the FGC is now down to play an inferiir version when the good one is on a readily available platform (and two versions that may be better are coming in March, AND, it and the DLC may end up back on 360), then they can keep that. That sounds really lazy or desperate, but, again, it's not like the DC MVC2 situation at all.

It's not lazy at all. UMVC3 is the ONLY game still being played on last gen consoles. It's a godsend this game is now on PS4 for TO'S. The game plays fine on ps4. Only complaints im hearing is deadpools taunt unscaled damage setup and the fact not many people have ps4 sticks yet(Capcom fukked up by not adding legacy suport)

That game would print money but I'm not even sure how it could work. Would be really fukking weird to see Ryu shoryukening guys heads clean off and just as weird seeing MK without over the top gore. One would have to give to make it work

And there were so many complaints of a T-rated Mortal Kombat game. Despite the fact that it actually played pretty well, that isnt exactly a beloved MK game. The gore is a huge part of MK's appeal. A lot of people were unhappy they removed it to appease the other ip.
That's axtuall6 the main issue here. Having Gore & Fatalities makes it feel like much more of an MK game while not having it feels like much more of a SF game.

If this ever happened, it has to be in 2d with a slightly new animation style to accommodate each franchise to make it feel natural.

Thats my only complaint with MK vs DC, it was a total WTF to me having those universes clash while marvel vs Capcom totally fits and compliments each other.

MK vs. DC seemed very out of the blue and was essentially a knock off to MVC in concept. Would've come off much more natural if MK9 and Injustice were released before the game instead of after.

Remember the original cross over released was X-Men vs. Street Fighter, that had been built upon by COTA and MSH having been in arcades for a while before that. So it seemed natural for them to cross.

All they gotta do is make to different versions of the game

SFvsMK(based on the SF graphics and engine) and MKvsSF(Based on the MK graphics and engine)
