Denzel was looking af in equalizer, don't know if this is the best example to use. Denzel fight scenes look like steven segal fight scenes, nobody trying to see blade fight like that.

Not saying he can't play action roles, just saying I'd rather see a younger blade, one that won't visibly age as time progresses

You must not have followed since the beginning. They said numerous times during that stretch that they were building a coherent story that would end with the 3rd Avengers movie. They pretty much had everyone locked into contract until then. Endgame came about when they realized the story was too big for everything they wanted to do with one movie. Hell everyone knows there's a lot if filler in Endgame.

Then around Infinity War they said they were never doing that again. They'd probably just do smaller stories. They had no plan after Infinity War/Endgame and now it shows. Eternals was the only movie really on slate, and that was in the plans before. The plan they developed during been shot to hell (Captain Marvel/Spidey/BP).

Yea, you're talking contracts. They got contracts too now. But we're talking public perception and sentiment of the MCU. Right now, at this very moment, you're not feeling it. There's no momentum to a larger story. My point was it was similar in Phase 1 and 2 and even at the start of 3. You didn't sense the larger direction story in Ant-Man, Spider-Man, except for small easter eggs and some hints here and there. But it really start to go in Civil War, Ragnarok (credits scene) then.

MCU will build up again in the same way.

Yup, Tom Cruise and Keanu Reeves, Stallone, etc., can do action movies all day with no issues and don't get the same flack as aging black actors. It's to be expected, though, since basically the same people would do the same thing with older artists in music when they are black too.

I mean if Saul Goodman can be badass anyone can. It’s the productions job to do it I think Ali has some martial arts background anyway

It's not that we don't think that he is a good actor or there's a bias against him it's the fact that for the majority of his career at no point have you ever seen him exhibit any sort of martial arts prowess. Learning this at literally pushing 50 could be weak.

Keanu, etc have shown they have high level skills to be convincing. Wesley is a a multi talented martial artist as is MJW. They have literally coordinated figths and have done a lot of their own stunts and have proven track records. Ali I have never heard has those skills. Wesley set a damn high bar.

CGI work and stuntmen ain't gonna cut it with Blade.
