Ryan Lunberg basically summed it up this morning. Zach Snyder makes beautiful looking movies visually but he doesn't make good movies. MOS looked good visually (too many dark filters if you ask me).. but did you really care about any of the characters? Lets be honest. The ONLY character I cared about was ZOD.

i think this is apple and oranges thoughMarvel's run is overrated IMO.
I appreciate that they try to feed us, but I don't really fukk with their cooking like that.
There's only 3 Marvel flicks that have replay value.

That's it.....Well, I actually like the Incredible Hulk with Ed Norton.Most underrated Marvel movie, no doubt.
In fact, i'd rather watch that, than to sit through either of the Avenger films.The 2nd half of the 1st Avengers was tolerable....part 2 was miserable.It just felt lazy to me.You could tell Joss Whedon was burnt out on that one.I felt the strain coming through the screen.More than likely, I'll never watch than one again...ever
marvel is out for the money... they want the billion dollar movie money and they have the perfect formula... it's always cheesy, campy, safe, cookie cutter.... i could probably write the entire plot to ant man right now without seeing a single minute and never read a single comic
dc seems to be going for this "realistic" gritty feel. you don't get any of that other shyt.. people are getting murked out... shyt is being fukked up.... minimal time for jokes... not something you're always sure you can take young kids to
which way will be the lasting franchise..... well dc got about 5-7 years to catch up to first... but really who knows when or why this bubble will burst

In all the arguing about how shytty the movie's interpretation of Supes is and the nonsensical levels of destruction I think a lot of people are forgetting how downright terrible the entire movie was from beginning to end. It's pure unadulterated garbage.

Why do people keep saying marvel is going after the kids. That's a big misconception. At the end of the day unless DC making rated R movies they're all for the kids. How many graphic deaths did they show in the dark knight trilogy or MOS?

We got so close as well. Warner Bros. should have manned up and dropped B vs. S on the same day as Civil War like they were threatening to do. Could have been one of the GOAT movie marketing events. It also could have been a high water mark that neither company would ever have been able to match again, though.

DC tried to play that game and blinked. Stanning makes everything more interesting and everyone wins. Each side will ride for the franchise and go see the other just to hate. Me, I'm a hardliner. The only way I go is if I don't want to wait for a DVD quality torrent to drop.
