We’re approaching 2024 no one under 35 cares about Scorsese :mjlol:

Killers of the flower moon came, went and FLOPPED :mjlol:
Maybe 20-somethings that think the MCU was top tier movie making.

Plenty of adults out there that don't need flashy colors and explosions to be entertained

His last 5 movies directed: WOWS and Irishman were good shyt. Silence is a slow burner and worth a watch, but may be too much drama. Hugo is hit or miss; I thought it was ok but my mom enjoyed it. I haven’t seen KOTFM yet, so I can’t say anything about it. Irishman was only a few years ago and gets praised.

Yeah they do as mcu movies were made for them and the gen I mentioned. That is how cycles work. Yet you’re upset on some “ol they don’t like my movies” on some hating ass shyt. The next gen probably won’t like MCU movies as much as there will be something else.

Yet no one is Rushing to see a Scorcese flick in 2023/24.

His movies are still great but he doesn’t understand pacing anymore. Going back to Shutter Island all his films have shyt pacing and just drag. He needs a new editor.

Iron Man came out 15 years ago. Most, if not all of us posting, were in the target demographic and watched all the movies in the theater.
Also, a lot of us are able to distinguish between summer blockbuster and high quality filmmaking.
Plenty of young adults are the same. It's evident with the lackluster performances and reception of the last several MCU releases.

That’s not the point of why I responded to the guy. Dude said Marty hasn’t had an enjoyable film in his recent work, which is complete bullshyt.

Killers of the Flower Moon is a good movie but the pacing sucks until the feds get involved.

So basically the first 2 hours are a drag.

Someone on Reddit said that Goodfellas has the best pacing out of all Scorcese's movies and that's probably what made it so good, aside from the performances from the cast. I agree.

Every other Scorcese movie has at least 40 minutes where you don't really give a shyt. Even the "good" ones like Casino and Color of Money.

He's a good director. But if you press me, I'll admit that he just works with really good actors. They do all the heavy lifting. It's not like he's Tarantino, writing the script. Or Paul Thomas Anderson. Or David Fincher.
