have you ever done makiwara punching? that shyt hurts, even if youre used to punching bags and have ogre hands.

conditioning hands/other surfaces for striking is different in every school but karate is #1 in the "fukk it just hit hard shyt dont be a puss" method :russ:

Yeah....shyts hella rough. I've seen some higher ranked cats and teachers with some fukkED looking hands.

Punching hard things worked best for me. Also punching heavy bags with no gloves helped a lot as well. I have the record on many punching machines across mall arcades in America.

I hope you're at least using wraps cuz you'll fukk your wrists up completely doing that.

Oh, and those punching machines are rigged. It's not even about how hard you hit but how fast you hit it. Hell, a lot of skinny cats run then hit it acting like they got heavy hands.

Carry a knife. There is nothing better then someone clinching you while you hold a 4 inch blade in your hand. Please become familiar with hitting vital spots on the human body. These spots can save your life if you are being put under pressure by someone who has the ability to kill you with their bare hands. For example if someone is face to face with you and has you in a head and arm control, one of their armpits is in the air. Take your blade and insert it into the armpit. This man will not attack you anymore.

For a Black man, this is more than likely an express ride to prison. Trying to hide it is even worse. :snoop:

Punchers arent developed, they're born.

I guess we should just use our hands in all situations. You need to wake up i think.

The odds of me entering a situation where I need a weapon are much lower than the odds of me being stopped/frisked, otherwise searched, and an illegal weapon being found on my person, if I carry one. It's simple math- the risks outweigh the benefits.

How does such a statement even disprove what I just said? :what:

..and yeah, some people naturally hit harder, but that doesn't give them an edge if they're against a better overall fighter. If that were the case, a lot of guys could walk off the street and dominate in combat sports. Jon Jones, for example, isn't exactly known for his KO power, but has fukked up many a fighter who hits harder.

punchers are born, but the average man can learn to hit enough for his own purposes.

like everything else in life its all about taking what you have and maximizing.

"Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." Look at Rampage Jackson. Raw power in both his punches and wrestling ability....unfortunately, he didn't work hard enough to refine those talents into excellent abilities. Because of this, he was beaten by fighters who may not have hit as hard or have the same functional, genetic strength, but were still better fighters period.

Never said it gives them an edge but obviuosly GSP cant hit harder then Chris Angel because of the score on that machine.

The odds of you getting into a fist fight are slim based on your docile nature but still. We dont train for odds. We train for worst case scenario and in a worst case scenario i have to use my knife and end someones life who is potentially trying to rob or kill me. Maybe you should reconsider why your training. I hope it isnt to just knock people out. If so i think you really have a lot more to learn about being a fighter.

A worst-case scenario would involve a gun, not a knife, and would also involve more than one person. In that case, a knife wouldn't be very useful. A gun would be more useful than a knife in that situation, so why aren't you spending all your time at a firing range and carrying around a handgun? For the same reason I'm not interested in carrying around a knife.

Where I live, I get searched by police at least once a week during my commute. That's just how it is. I've been in maybe 2 situations before where I have been faced with a knife. The math here is as simple as it gets. The risk that would come from carrying a knife makes it unreasonable.

As for being a "fighter," I'm not really interested in your personal philosophies on fighting.

Just checked outside and my new wushu kicks came in. Tried em out. Really really nice for the price, essentially they're just like a wrestling boot but with more ankle mobility. Feels like barefoot.

And they came with a cool bag too.
