I wouldn't mind Luke dying but the way they did it in the film was ass...

The writers were gifted a character we've known and loved for half a century and permission to kill him off. People should've been tearing up and clapping with his swan song. Instead my whole theater was just confused like "What....? Is he dead? That's it?"

for all the shyt the prequels get, they're at least cohessive enough to understand and Lucas had a general idea/vision of what the trilogy would amount to.
