1. This guy is a rich white billionaire. he's speaking from a perspective of ignorance born from a lack of exposure to such things.

2. the things people fear and have been taught to fear aren't universally harmful. maybe a black male in a hoodie will rob him. maybe he won't. maybe a pit bull will maul you and maybe it won't. maybe a black man in a suit would rob him. the whole black man in a hoodie deal is the stereotype it projects. is it right or fair? no but does it exist? yes.

Get that bullshyt out of here. And now we're comparing dogs to black people?

If Cuban feels this way and he's seen as the most likeable NBA owner, I can't imagine what the other owners think.

This shyt is just really eye-opening.

I hope that some of the more aware players in the league are taking note and moving to make changes.
eye opening? That's laughable. As a black man I've been aware of this all my life. that the common white man i see on the street has a discomfort level rise in them at my presence just because I'm a black male they don't know. I'm aware this exist because of their ignorance about me. I know I mean them no harm but I am an unfamiliar unknown to them and until they see that I'm ok they'll likely be leery.

When most of what you know about a group of people is stereotypes rather than from experience how else would it be?

Actually the irony of this is both Donald Sterling and Mark Cuban was the most disliked owners amongst the other NBA owners.

I think Paul Allen and the Heats owner are still cool in my book.

we all have prejudices, but what the fukk does that have to do with using shytty examples to make them?

And even further, why is Cuban so worried about free speech in a PRIVATE organization?

If he wants a PC-free basketball club, he can start his own.

You basically picked over what I said refused to acknowledge the point took things you could use and repackaged it using things to make it sound as ridiculous as possible. Obviously I'm not comparing a dog and a human I'm comparing two situations.

you're doing the same bullshyt "Cuban" did.

A black guy in a hoodie IS NOT the antithesis of a skinhead with face tats.

Just stop already.

Checklist so far:

Unnecessary Obama diss? Check.

Constant mentions of you being black? Check.

Minimizing the severity of the situation and it's ramifications while taking passive-aggressive jabs at us? Check.

Using a poor analogy (comparison of black people and pitbulls) to support your claims that just makes you look worse? Check.

Agreeing with the main person involved in the story? Check.

Creepy ass anime picture? Check.

I took your weak analogy and pointed out how you're not really saying anything.

And out of all the situations, you decided to pick those ones by accident?

That was the man's point. If you get that much the examples he used are irrelevant.

Cuban just had the balls to say it in public. The common person will simply have those internal feelings and never voice them. They'll lock their car doors, roll up their windows, clutch their purse tighter, pull their kids closer. follow you around a store. shyt like that.

I see Cuban as calling this out and at the same time admitting he's flawed and a part of it. Yall hear black and hoodie and tune all the rest out.

"Balls"? He's spent the last several weeks low key defending an open white supremacist and giving ambiguous comments about the whole situation. He's too much of a punk to even say how he's going to vote. He's nothing but a spoiled white supremacist coward.

And Cuban is not going to change his mentality. That's why he hasn't thrown Sterling under the bus. He's part of the "culture".
