you know what my honest opinion on the shyt is? dude didnt wana get clowned by his friends bein like "yea those black dudes your girl rolls with are definitely hittin that" :russ: i.e. dont bring them to games, or whatever he said

but what exactly is the legal recourse for not liking black people? we aren't talkin hiring practices or any of that shyt. he just expressed his prejudiced opinion in a private convo

like i said, how can you justify an arbitrary fine like 2.5 million dollars? for what?

my only point is that this should be more of a court of public opinion thing, more than legality. and btw im not defending that jew either, i dont give a fukk if he loses his team or not :childplease:
make up your damn mind with the passive aggressive i care but dont care shyt and you wonder why i couldnt tell lmao

this is the point im trying to make...obviously Cuban wasnt talking about every single black person in a hoodie.
You know the type of person he was talking about.
Shut the fukk up you mental midget. You contradicted yourself. Cuban was referring to a black man in a hoody. Don't project your thoughts on him and what he was trying to say.

:deadmanny: @ you still segmenting black folk and picking and choosing who THEY will profile.

B-b-but i'm proper they will never profile me, but the "Chief Keef clones" (your words) oh they're different

:pachaha:

One day you will learn, you're showing an astounding lack of understanding of how society views black men as a collective.

my point is that an ignorant joke/comment doesnt make the person a racist automatically.

or you have a "all white people are racist" rationale

dude, what does that have anything to do with you presuming that Mark Cuban would be selective in which Black person in a hoody he crosses the street for? what makes you different from another Black person in a hoody?

Wow I totally fukked that post up. New at posting. My take on it was his message is "I recognize I have these feelings and I have to proactively fight against them." Whereas a white supremacist thinks his feelings are fully justified and will use them to further his agenda. Maybe you got a different take from the interview? When it comes to racial activism we need to be careful about lumping everyone in the white-hood wearing swastika-tattooed category. In many ways, the insidious institutional racism that pervades America is MUCH more dangerous than the hillbilly kind...but my impression was that Cuban recognizes this and is actively trying to combat it.

He's not trying to combat it. If he was he would have told everyone that he was going to vote against Sterling.

And honestly, based on the racial climate in this country it would probably be best to view most white people as white supremacists until they prove otherwise (and most of them don't prove otherwise). Most white supremacists in today's society don't have swastikas or wear hoods.

he's islamophobic, because he ignorantly thought that a Sikh was a muslim, thinking that people in turbans should be watched under closer scrutiny when the fukking 9/11 hijackers had NO turbans on and were dressed like regular americans.

fukk outta here.

Sorry, bro you just embarrassed yourself because you clearly did not read this part of my post that directly addressed everything in your reply:
What Sterling did to Elgin Baylor - that was discrimination. His housing policies - that's discrimination. But simply being a racist owner is not discriminating, and the Baylor situation and his housing policies is not what he's being forced out for now, even though the NBA is trying to save face and cover itself legally by lumping all of his past actions together. Anyone with a brain can see that they're reacting first and foremost to those tapes. That's what I assume Cuban meant by saying "There's no law against stupid." Cuban's a smart guy, but he picked the wrong time to make a stance on principal.

I read that before I hit reply.

"His housing policies - that's discrimination. But simply being a racist owner is not discriminating"

Your trying to argue with me by minimizing what he did in the housing issue.

I haven't heard one Clipper player/coach/employee say that they were in any way "mistreated" by Sterling... well other than Baron Davis:mjlol:.
How old is that lawsuit? Nobody cared, I don't remember 100+ page threads on :hamster: calling for his head or for players to boycott. Its annoys me that people were more outraged by what he said then by what he actually did. If the NBA had come down on him for the discrimination lawsuit I would have been overjoyed and in light of his history I'm not against forcing him out now, but lets be clear, this "outrage" from the NBA and the public is flawed.
You didn't answer my question. None of this matters.

Would you be okay with a teacher, saying the same things as Sterling, teaching an all black class?

@polokuo

Ya'll win. Just reply and you get the last word, but, I'm done. Ya'll are arguing to argue.

why is this so difficult for people to understand? we're not upset about him admitting that he's prejudice, that's no surprise to many of us here. it's the fact that all a Black person has to do to arouse suspicion in Mark is have a hoody on, a white person on the other hand has to have the appearance of a neo-nazi, leaving no doubt that they're trouble. a white person in a hoody wouldn't arouse suspicion in Mark but a Black person in that same hoody will.
