@ this dude assuming I don't watch foreign movies/television programming specifically Asian. I've seen more hours of historical Korean/Japanese dramas/movies over the last 5-6 years then Ive watched American T.V. Let's not get into a penis measuring contest about who watches foreign media cause you will lose.

Are there any aspiring Japanese-American actresses? I dunno.
Does hollywood have something against Japanese ppl? Who knows.
But what I do know...is that Warner Bros Studios aint just gonna give a leading role of a potential movie franchise to a random Japanese actress that nobody knows b/c the source material, which hardly anyone knows about, happens to be from Japan.

i can overlook the white washing since the characters never look japanese and it took place in a fictional city.
however, not being able to name a japanese actress is no defense for not using one. we get lesser known people in big roles all the time. typically a supporting role will go to a more famous star to help out. that's why you will see denzel promoted heavily in the marketing for a movie like antwon fisher even though it's derek luke's movie

Peep "Confessions" if you ain't. I thought "Killers" was dope more recently.
I'm gonna keep it real I more prefer Korean or even Indonesian to Japanese movies. Japanese movies (even "Confessions", which I thought was great) tend to be a lot more dialogue heavy than the average movie. I'm talking, 20 minute monologue type shyt.

battle royale was dope, but as you said in your other post....japanese movies tend to be heavy on the dialogue. probably why i haven't watched as much of them lately. can't think of a really good japenese flick i've seen since like 2010

I didn't name a Japanese actress because it has no bearing on any of the points I tried to make in this thread, in fact you could make a case that it's counter intuitive to my argument My whole point is that it's a inherently Japanese storyline and the character itself is Japanese there for Hollywood should use this opportunity to actually push a unknown(to the mainstream) actress that actually identifies with the race of the character then to slapstick a blonde hair blued eyed chick into the role. Your point is "uh uh uh I have no point but name me a Japanese actress cause if I don't know the person I and others won't watch." Like that isn't the biggest excuse as to why these Hollywood executives feel its ok to whitewash shyt.
To satisfy your backwards ass inquiry Shinobu Terajima would do well. She has that poweful milf vibe that the actual character exudes plus she's *gasp* Japanese. She was on Ryoma which was one of the best J Dramas of all time
