Detroit Red's FATHER was a UNIA member, Detroit Red ran numbers, robbed, scammed, and pimped despite that.
The NOI transformed him, and they were inspired by Noble Drew Ali.
Nobody needed Garvey, Liberia and Sierra Leone already existed.
EJ Rozell and Bishop Henry McNeil Turner achieved his goal before he was thought of.

Pro-Blackness and discipline transformed Malcolm. So if it hadn't been the NOI it would have been something else.

And Sierra Leone and Liberia needed direction and purpose. Without Garvey or someone like him they inevitably withered and amounted to nothing and even now still haven't.

Which is exactly what cacs and their respective governments wanted.

And if you look at how countries surrounded by opponents succeed it's by sheer will.

For example, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, China, Singapore, opposed by cacs and pushed to remain undeveloped sources of raw materials pushed cacs out, focused on economic nationalism, exports, and manufactured goods of increased sophistication until they dominated. :wow:

Now cac economists call those countries "economic miracles" which is strange since a miracle is something that shouldn't happen and doesn't make sense.

And to cacs anyone who's not white succeeding economically against their best efforts doesn't make sense :mjpls:

Back to Garvey though, his ideas were solid, but he was done in by most Blacks who didn't want independence and power. Also he talked a lot about what he was going to do to the cac colonial powers in Africa which put them on notice and gave them a lot of time to destroy his efforts.

Also his public parades in the US were wasteful and pointless. Nothing built there was ever going to last due to cac destruction and it unnecessarily undermined his efforts.

So Black nationalists need to focus on the Caribbean and Africa where Black success can take root and actually prosper.

"The Caribbean" is not a place where black success has taken root and prospered outside of the Bahamas.
Garvey would have been another dictator with a small plot of land trying to "civilize" people who had civilization down pat when his Irish Masters were still in caves. Let's not forget who he stanned. Island nikkas love myths but not facts.

You cant say they fathered his whole agenda and thought his agenda was bullshyt:mjlol:

But yes, those so called black leaders. What could they possibly tell another black man leading black Americans? Not a damn thing other than they disagree. And why would you care if other black leaders disagree when their movements and theories are still unproven. And they certainly didnt control anything in America.

Garvey didn't control shyt in small ass jamaica or Costa Rica, and Jamaica is majority black. So what are you really saying, rape-o?

He followed their blueprint but what he changed was:

1. he believed in true negroism, which they obviously didn't

2. he wanted to rule africans/leadership in Africa; they just wanted to blend in with Africans in a "black" country

3. he promoted racist white rhetoric etc...; they obviously were against any and all of it

but they were the blueprint that Garvey followed

Africans and West Indians all knew Garvey was full of it

Why couldn't he get his plan popping in an all "Black" country like Jamaica?

"Who are his biggest opponents of Garvey? Arent they the west indians like cyril briggs, richard b moore, franklin coswaith and myself -who caused his indictments?"

Sounds like you are advocating that black leaders should have ran to the white man to get him locked up. Because thats essentially the only power black leaders had over Garvey which was entirely my point.

Also cant believe everything you read. Richard B moore had affiliation with the African Black Brother hood. A group who wanted to take Garveys following for themselves.

But it sounds like yall dont believe the same thing that happens among these youtube creators/intellectuals today, was happening back then:mjlol:. 100 years from now there will someone on thecoli posting articles about what Tariq said about Dr Umar. Or what Yvette said about Boyce Watkins and believing its all facts. And couldnt possibly be coming from a place of jealousy and bias.#ContextIsKey :respect:

They saw that Garvey was basically a scam artist and got him booted:manny:
