So Pac resigns with Arum knowing full well Floyd will not negotiate with TR and then calls out Floyd on IG...Did all the blows to the head make this guy retarded or was he born slow?

That is why I think it is solely because of some misguided loyalty to Arum that he keeps re-signing. There is no other excuse for it besides that.
Oh well, unless Bob signs some new blood or the detente between him and De La Hoya ends up being more than just the ramblings of a fresh out of rehab junkie and we get so e co-promotional fights, it looks like Manny's dance card is going to be full of deja vu matches for the next 2 years.

You right "Oh well"
Some of yall nikkas got the game fukked up.. What yall fail to realize is Pacquiao dont have to go nowhere.. Manny Pacquiao dont have to chase after anyone and he shouldn't. .. If he wants to chill at TR fighting Marqyex, Bradley, and Prov collect $20 million paydays (whether it be through purses and/or advances.. Thats on him.. There's nobody anywhere else Manny Pacquiao need to chase after.. If nikkas want Pac, they can cut a deal with Arum/HBO and make the fight happen like Bradley did...

Is it Pac's problem Floyd being a bytch and refuses to negotiate??

Gtfo with this bullshyt...:stopitslime:

You know damn right Floyd has already tried to negotiate twice...

First time around your boy Pacquiao turned down the fight over random drug testing using every excuse in the book to duck the testing including I'm scared of needles which was downright comical...

Second time around your boy Pacquiao publically claimed he would fight for free to make this fight but turned down $40 million as soon as Floyd pulled his card...Lets also not forget Bob said a cut from November wasn't healed in May and he needed to build a new stadium for this fight which he still hasn't drawn up blueprints for...lol

Its all Floyd's fault though...

 Now you Pac Stan nikkas see,

No financial incentives to resign with Top Rank (other than Bob offering him a ridiculous signing bonus) and look at what he does. :snoop:.

One year deal (or even a 6 month deal) with Golden Boy with the Floyd Mega Fight staring him right in the face >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Than this current deal with :flabbynsick: Top Rank (Who have a :flabbynsick: Roster and guys he already fought, now im waiting for the 5th Marquez Pacquiao bout and the third Pacquiao Bradley fight :scusthov: :snoop: )

:camby: I don't wanna hear shyt about Floyd ducking, The ball was in Pacquiao's court.

This fight ain't happening, By Pacquiao reupping with Top Rank, HBO has exclusive rights to televise Pac fights. Mayweather has a deal with Showtime. This is one of the major and serious complications stopping the mega fight with Pac reupping with Top Rank.

At least a Pacquiao and Maidana and then Provodnikov Fight is still possible. :ehh:

:what: No financial incentives? :snoop: STFU

Funny how Pac is ducking by resigning with Arum/HBO, but Floyd not ducking by signing a 3 year 6 fight deal with Showtime/GB.. you're all a bunch of hypocrites

:heh: I was waiting for you to start the Black Jesus pac stanning and the Irrational Floyd hate as soon as I posted that.

I said there was a financial incentive, I said there must have been a huge signing bonus because the revenue for Pac's last few Top Rank fights have been :flabbynsick: compared to the revenue that Floyd is pulling in.

Floyd signed that mega tv deal first (six fights worth about 200 million). I didn't hear HBO offering Floyd that kind of money two years ago. Also I haven't heard that HBO has offered Pacquiao such a deal. That majority of that TV money is probably going into Arum's pockets. :deadmanny::umad: .

Breh, as a pac stan, I have noticed that you keep bringing up the past and not talk about the future. (i.e. Floyd was ducking him 4 years ago or Floyd signed a tv deal with showtime)

Im sorry u gotta hear this breh, but Pac really had control of this entire situation this year and in 2015. Pac could have been a free agent . he could have set his own terms to a Floyd fight in 2015 or maybe even forced Bob Arum to negotiate for the Megafight before 2014 ends with the Mayweather, Haymon and Golden Boy.

This nikka Pacquiao didn't even wait to see how shyt plays out, This nikka reupped and it is May 2014 !!!!!!!!!!!

he knew that there was problem negotiating for the mega fight between Floyd, Top Rank and Golden Boy (whoever fault it was). By him re upping, it shows that Pac only has marginal interest in the fight with Floyd and there is some form of strong loyalty to Bob Arum

Floyd is not signed to GB you fukking idiot...He contracts them on a fight by fight basis...Floyds deal with showtime also isn't a problem for this fight...Showtime and HBO have worked together to make megafights happen...They won't block the biggest prize fight in the history of the sport...There are millions of dollars to be made for both sides off this fight and that's all they care about...

The main roadblock with this fight is Bob Arum and Floyds relationship...You cant blame a fighter for refusing to do business with a promoter who owes him money...Pacquiao dumbass knows that yet still resigned with TR...:smh:

Breh, that shyt is not happening, Showtime invested way too much money (200 million) in Floyd to share any revenue with a competitor even if it is going to be a ridiculous amount of money.

Showtime's game plan when they gave Floyd that deal was to 1) Put Floyd Mayweather in a ring. 2) Have him fight a boxer with a super-loyal, global following. 3) Watch the pay-per-view numbers climb.

No way they are sharing any revenue with HBO this time. That rivalry is even deeper than the feud between Mayweather and Top Rank

Behind You
See I am not even one of those people immediately jumping to the "Pac is ducking Floyd" line because honestly that is some bullshyt that only gets used by stans. I have given up the ghost on the whole Floyd/Pac fight because there are reasons this fight won't happen that have more with personal animosity on both sides than it will ever have to do with the sport of boxing. Now if only the constant back and forth that always comes up whenever there is a post about Floyd or Manny could be contained in its own thread so I wouldn't have to waste time scrolling past the same regurgitated arguments and accusations to get to posts that I do care about.

Now personally I just would have preferred Pac become a free agent so that he could make fights with fighters regardless of promotional ties.
So we will just have to sit back and hope the Arum/Oscar reconciliation results in some new opponents for Pac.

Details on Manny's Contract Extension

As reported on Tuesday, eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao signed a contract extension with Top Rank until the end of 2016. Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, as well as Pacquiao’s adviser Michael Koncz, discussed the deal with BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard.

Koncz told BoxingScene/Manila Standard - “After more than one month of negotiations with Top Rank and also a new player, Cash Money Records founded by Brian Williams aka “Birdman,” who was very pleasant to deal with and had some new refreshing ideas on forming a partnership with Manny and MP Promotions, Manny has decided to continue our partnership with Top Rank.” :mjlol:

Koncz said Pacquiao signed an extension “that will take us to the end of 2016” but added that the terms and financial conditions of the contract are confidential. The adviser had met with Williams and negotiated the terms of the MP Promotions partnership during his last visit to Los Angeles.

Wikipedia reported that Cash Money Revords Inc was founded by brothers Bryan “Birdman” Williams and Donald “Slim” Williams, who currently act as CEOs. It operates as a subsidiary of Universal Music Group and is distributed by Republic Records and includes artists such as Lil Wayne and Mystikal among others. Koncz continued - “We are happy. We reviewed both proposals (Top Rank and Williams) last Monday and felt in an overall picture the Top Rank proposal was the best choice” pointing out that Arum “has been good to Manny.” Arum himself told BoxingScene/The Standard that “we have the rest of this year plus two more years. The minimum we’ll have is five fights.”

He said the contract extension means “we can do some long range planning, it means that we are going to be able to make multi-fight deals with venues like the Venetian so I think its going to enhance everybody’s ability to maximize the amount of money that could be brought in.”The astute promoter said the deal was significant “particularly now that in November we will be starting off this venture to bring pay-per-view to China and we are really well on our way to instituting it. That could mean a very huge revenue source that could even surpass pay-per-view revenue in the United States.” “The partnership among Manny, Top Rank, MP Promotions and HBO has been a wonderful one for all parties and for the public and its great that it will continue for the years to come.”Indications are that Pacquiao will fight until at least the 2016 presidential elections when the incumbent Sarangani province congressman is expected to seek a seat in the Senate.

They already did it for Tyson/Lewis breh...

HBO did the commentary for that fight...

The cable companies are a hurdle for this fight...I know Showtime was tight because it felt more like an HBO event and they were just there but that's not something that can't be negotiated better this time around...Again this would be the richest prizefight in boxing history...There is more than enough money to be made for both cable companies so this isn't some insurmountable hurdle like Bob and Floyd's relationship...
