Things went to shyt. The sad part is if Shin kept his cool, things would have been fine. But now we got a deranged Tenkyu. I am concerned about what Atari mentioned of 3 dying.

One thing I am disappointed with Shin he made that decision without telling Heisuke since Sakamoto Family is as important to him as they are to Shin.

Damn this twist got me :lupe:

You always felt a sense of guilt with Samura. Thinking the sword bearers should die is like thinking they should have died for the lives that were lost. He did make a deal with Yura 3 years ago, but is he still a traitor? What is the stance between Samura & Yura now?

This story has many directions it can go which has me excited.

So in the inverse of Void it takes void and puts it inwards. Honestly, it is a TSB that truly represents Kyo as he is someone who is always will to do what it takes to protect his family. It is not a surprise he would ignore his father's warning of only using it once.

I believe this is the first time Tsumboi has met the twins. Like to see the twins getting involved again.

"There’s nothing here, and yet there is everything." That feels like the type of Rakugo that Issho learned to love and that he wants preserve. Issho as the previous chapter showed he still didn't know what he wanted to do. He found his passion in Rakugo. It definitely gives perspective what Rakugo means to Issho.

As this manga progresses, we get more and more depth to what Rakugo means to Issho. I am truly interested in how it affects Akane going forward.

Awesome to see Hoshina & the other guys back. Plus smart play out of Yoritsugu, he is still keeping his word he is just making Tokiyuki's allies in the past aware of his presence. Very clever.

As much as I don't want the series to end, it felt inevitable this was to come. Granted the timeskips here and gave some of the feeling the end was in sight. Plus continuing in college never felt like a real possibility since everyone is off on their own paths. I do want to see where everyone ends up and where they are as an adult.

There was no Taria and Azuma confession yet and maybe next chapter will have it. But as we see Taria crying up that the whole year has been fun. For a guy who was a very much of a downer, you can see how much of an impact Azuma had on him. He simply doesn't want their friendship to end. I feel like it would be too soon for Taria to jump into confessing. Which leaves it in Azuma who clearly has feelings for Azuma. Will she be the one to confess first?

Julian is heading towards a dangerous path, blaming himself for Angvall's death. It would be more appropriate to treasure what Angvall sought to protect. Leaving Titi behind would have betrayed what she would have wanted since Titi being alone would have been miserable for her.

Volume 4 was a big one in terms of reveals of what is to come. The biggest one is the introduction of Hanako's little brother Tsukasa. Though the one that he killed was actually him. It makes you wonder what would lead him to kill his brother and which leads to what Tsuchigomori mentions of changing his future. More and more, you see Hanako & Nene's friendship becoming more genuine. We do learn of the ones spreading the rumors in which Hanako was worried about. Curious what these 3 and their goals are.

The next arc gives Kou a nice focus as he deals with the mystery of the middle school entrance. There he meets a boy named Mitsuba, but learning that they were in the same class, but he died shortly after. A heartbreaking aspect was that he wanted to change after being bullied in elementary school, but the only that changed was he went from being bullied to not being remembered. Makes you wonder why this was happening to Mitsuba, it feels like he was cursed. Though Kou telling Mitsuba to be himself was a nice moment where basically Mitsuba takes a picture of Kou since he only takes pictures of things he cares about. That symbolizing him making his first friend.

Sadly, more about Tsukasa gets revealed and more so for the bad. Essentially, Tsukasa makes wishes for the dead while Hanako makes wishes for the living. A fukked up scenario where Tsukasa uses the manner of his wish to cause chaos. We finally learn his wish and that was to make friends and be remembered. Sadly, the choice of words allowed Tsukasa to manipulate Mitsuba. Luckily, Hanako arrived to save Kou, but makes you wonder what is Tsukasa and the other 2's goal? The only hint that we get from Hanako is that death is the end. Essentially, it is the natural end of the world, and he wanted Mitsuba to rest peacefully.

As the God starts fighting, we finally see him fighting seriously. It is quite scary how strong he is. Though there is one condition with the 5 skills that Tama mentioned and that if you picture it as a series of 1-on-1 fights, the God will always win. Also the type of curse technique being used must be the same. So essentially, God can take on each curse separately. So the key would be using the same curse technique multiple times. That in which will be key in winning this fight.

One thing we do learn here is that when the Prince uses his divine eyes, his memory becomes distorted. That is one going forward. Speculation that a witch and journey man in a story created a child with the divine eyes. This may or not be more important going forward.

94013FA2-0FC0-4521-94C7-1DC1902CB827.png

At this point, it's clear the Prince won't be obedient, so it makes sense for Zemu to give a bit more, but be strict. Kind of cool to see that raw mana itself is dangerous. It seems that at least yellow is an ally and will keep watch of Blue, Red and Purple. Though I am curious why the older black brother is one to look out for. Is it because he can see the past?

It's nice to see a younger version of Miemon, and it makes sense why he is the way he is. He is quite fond of Chiharu, and she put everything on her shoulders. So when she died he was upset thinking that nobody was out to help her. Also, I wonder if the 3rd student was Mahiru?

The big lesson for Yuna here is she can't compare herself to Chiharu. It is remarkable how much she can get done by herself and that is something Yuna will never be able to achieve. Yuna needs to focus on herself rather than trying to measure up to her mom.

Given how Yuna since the start of the series has been a slow, but diligent worker. That diligence and charisma can win people over like with Uryu. It is not to say Chiharu doesn't have that, but it's clear that asking for help was something of a struggle for her.

Sensei is really putting them in the ringer with the étude practice. Though she wants to see how creative they can be and see who can take the moment to shine. As well as who can be creative and think on the fly.

I am impressed with Nene. She did well here. She bounced back very well. Meanwhile, Shinobu is struggling even more. I did get the feeling she didn't think things through with attending the school. I am not surprised, but it hurts to see. I wonder if that other girl is a broadcaster?

Interesting start to the volume as Nene gets into trouble as she runs into the other trio. Despite them being what is most likely in an antagonist role, they are pretty likable minus Tsukasa. Natsuhiko is a goofball, especially when he is around Sakura. Though he does seem level-headed when it comes to Tsukasa. Sakura is comparison to Nene is pretty interesting. They are both basically assistants to the Yugi brothers, but there is a difference in their relationship. Sakura can't disobey Tsukasa, and it comes from a rather logical perspective. While for Hanako it has turned closer to even relationship him and Nene.

CEEB4AB1-5C73-4DAC-9141-4C66AD7BAA10.jpg

Given then Natsuhiko ended up with Nene it seemed obvious that she wasn't in mortal danger. Still, the place called nowhere is rather interesting since it could lead anywhere, but nowhere at the same time. The trio's goal wasn't to hurt Nene, but trap her from Hanako? Well, she is able to get back to her world, but she encounters Hanako or Amane when he was a student. Hanako found Nene and got her back, but that one moment of seeing him as a student more wants her to be able to protect Hanako. Though she still has a bit to go in that regard.

The next arc was really giving hints regarding Aoi since she knew all of these rumors. Previously, it would seem that she could be involved with the Supernatural and their assistant spreading rumors, but we know that is Tsukasa and Sakura. Next we dived into the first school mystery, which is the three clock keepers. One can reverse time, one can stop time and the last can move time forward. Though how Akane gets revealed as an assistant to the number 1 school mystery is interesting. Hanako notices that he was able to hit him out of Nene's body and used that to bait him to interfere by saving Aoi. Since we all can see how much he loves Nene. It is rather strange how there are supposed to be 3 time keepers, but there really are only 2.

Much like with Sakura, there are similarities between Akane & Nene. Like with Sakura, there exists a deal between Akane and their supernatural. Though it does seem like Akane was tricked by using Aoi as bait. Though given that there are 3 clock keepers, could it be possible that Aoi is the one who can stop time? However, given that Aoi grew up with Akane that would be a contradiction. Still no wonder he hates supernaturals, unlike Nene where we know that isn't the case. Still, it is shown that Mirai the one who can speed up time, is the one causing the mess. Curious to see how the 4 of them try to deal with her.

A big part of this chapter was dealing with God's uses of skills. So a big reason why Yayoi was fine with losing Graduates in exchange for taking out the God's arms was that it would not allow him to utilize those skills. Getting the legs would logically be next, but it seems his head got blown off. I would assume the fight isn't over quite yet.

Man did not see the twist coming. This series is coming along to be great :mjcry:

All things considered, when Hanako asked Kou to make sure Mirai did not touch Nene you thought it was part of him teasing her. There being some twist isn't surprising, but the manner and cruelty of learning that Nene doesn't even have a year left is heartbreaking. Since she is a girl that just wants her silly happiness, but to think she will die, no matter what, before she can find makes it the even crueler. Amane in contrast to his brother, who seems to have fun making the dead suffer, we have Amane wanting to make sure Nene can enjoy her time as much as he can.

9BAF4105-EF63-4570-B1B7-4970EB42E95A.jpg

As he knows, he can't change her fate. Although, as Tsuchigomori pointed out, Amane did change his fate for the worst. But he doesn't know that, so it is more than likely that we need to tackle Amane's past before dealing with the issue of Nene. Though it does seem clear that if you move time forward too far, it is possible for a person to just die like Nene. Once someone is dead, you can't reverse their time. More than likely the same if you were to rewind too far. The idea is to rewind the whole word time, but that comes at a price. Which is the world and everyone's memories are gone with it. It does seem supernaturals do keep their memories and the ones that are bound to them. It is a nice moment for Akane to pause Kou's time so he isn't affected by the memory wipe.

It is clear that the whole situation with Nene is hitting him more. More than likely, it has bothered him for a while, but Kou pointing out him accepting it makes him upset. More so he is upset at himself. Though Nene finding him and giving him a kiss is a nice call back from the beginning of the series. It seems currently Nene is going to push herself to want to learn more about Amane and in return, he would want to save Nene perhaps?

As we learn about the arms that Nene sees, which are low-level spirits, dealing with them seems easy. Kou does find an interesting discovery is that Sousuke was the one that took the pictures that we see Aoi & Nene are in. Though it seems one of the arms captures Nene to a barrier and where we see Sousuke as he approaches Nene. Curious if this presents an opportunity for Sousuke to be saved? Although the big question is: How can Nene get out of there first?

Man just when you think Yayoi got the team rolling the God just showed why he has the power of a God. The terrifying thing is that all the graduates that they lost they might lose might have been sacrificed for nothing. Kei's idea seemed really good, but it is clear possession of Ai is more complicated then the God controlling it. Though the power of God and the main body being different is scary.

There is the monolouge for Yayoi thinking if he could save her mom. Though could the Summary of Judgement of Divinitions of Aprochypha be the key? Really curious how this turns out in the end?

Fantastic volume that really kept you on your toes. The start of the volume was pretty solid as we see that both Takuya & Rika live together for a blog for work. How they start living together with such restrictions shows the side when couples move together and you either are over considerate or not considerate enough. Here given that they are both introverts we have the former. Though there is more to it than they really realize. Bathing, sleeping, eating, etc. All of these things are simply easier to accommodate when you are living by yourself. Which they realize. But the one thing after leaving the bathing house where we see Takuya waiting for Rika. When you live with someone, you are always with someone and that sense of company is great to always have.

One thing that this series hasn't touched upon the consequences of lying about marriage. As Rika & Takuya have been able to hide their lie from being discovered, they realized that regardless someone will be transferring to Irkutsk. Rumors in the workplace are not a strange thing and Gonda being a good guy makes it even worse. For Takuya thought remembered the guilt when he lied to his mother and him feeling responsible for lying. Know the consequences of someone having forced to transfer because of that lie just to keep a comfortable life. He and Rika going out to admit shows how much they are on the same page.

Now the pleasant surprise that we get that Asako volunteers to go to Irkutsk. This action first shows how much she cares for her associates and how she doesn't want to force it on them. The other bit is how marriage can tie you down. For someone who loves to travel, marriage doesn't offer that. Now the other point is, as an adult you need to be working as well. Which is why the path she has been on is clear. She decides to go for it since that thrill of traveling and change is something that excites her. In all we all have our own thing that keeps us alive and this transfer works to her benefit.

It is clear now that Rika & Takuya have gotten closer to each other they no longer need the marriage. However rather they want to be in a relationship as they have feelings for each other. Of course, making that lie public would make it awkward for them to be in a relationship. As they have learned along the way, marriage isn't the end goal it starts a whole new journey. There will be tons of obstacles, but why not go for it. The idea of having a serious relationship starting with marriage is intriguing. Also adding the fact the two of them as big introverts still have their issues to overcome. Curious about the direction the series goes from here.

Newish (started in April of 2023) Comedy-Horror from the ONE. Author of works like One Punch Man, Mob Psycho, etc. 4 chapters with around 300 pages are out, and I like it so far. A lot of interesting ideas and the manga has a lot of potential will be excited to read more.

Serie looking at Flamme and approaches a topic of how people throughout history can be forgotten. Even for someone who has accomplished so much as Flamme the image of her has faded. It is an interesting contrast to the beginning of the series when Frieren mentioned how Himmel had the statues made of him.

Essentially, the Shadow Warriors role in the empire were allowed to do what they deemed fit was for the best interest of the empire. Though no surprise, disbanding them wasn't easy because the chain of command was never defined. One thing that is clear the current empire and Shadow Warriors association isn't clear. They aren't necessarily allies, but there could be few in the empire coordinating with them.

I don't think we met Lineal yet, but given the ability to make Serie kneel is quite impressive. Though I got a bad feeling, we won't see her given the dangerous level of the mission. Gorilla is on the list. Given Sein's reaction to reading it, I wonder if this was something he wasn't surprised about?

Spells being cast from the heart is interesting. Spells are affected by the caster's confidence and its opponent. That could be very interesting when the Prince comes to fight in the future. I do like how Zemu points out regarding magic what does the prince wants to do. Independence and individuality is something he might not have to think about too much in the past, and it is good that it is being brought up.

Semi-related: But I think some of yall might appreciate it. I work for an academic library and get a bunch of material about resources for teachers and libraries. There's now a book being marketed to academic libraries about using Manga as an educational tool.

Stivers_Manga_1200.jpg

The appeal of manga is undeniable. As a worldwide publishing phenomenon, it has deservedly garnered the attention of scores of young learners. School librarians are willing and excited to harness its overwhelming popularity, and the benefits are real: with manga, you’ll strengthen not only the circulation statistics in your school library but also engagement and inclusion. This easy-to-use guide will walk you through making it happen.

This is from the mangaka that did the Twilight Princess manga. In a demi-human world where it seems dragons are supreme, a human one is born. It seems to focus on what the first human that is only a minor bit of dragon can do. It starts off with the usual struggles you get when a new species enters a new environment. The older generation showing it much love while those that are his age resent him. Even him wishing to be else where, which is partially sad.

Also, newest Ghost Fixers chapters showing that it is connected with Summertime Render with Hizuru debuting in the latest chapter of Ghost Fixers.

The interesting bit that he doesn't know that his 'master' killed his father. It seems he covered his tracks well. It would be difficult to see Millennia is the one Leo's needs to look for. The Female instructor is the one that would make the most sense. A longshot would be the guy Leo beat in that competition, but there would need to be some character building for him for it to make sense.

Caught up to previous Sunday jump.

New Sunday Jump series. Tbh felt pretty underwhelming if it really is trying to become a detective mystery series. It feels like it is basically a romcom masquerading as a detective mystery with how the good points of the chapter had nothing to do with the mystery.

Honestly, the weapon and fighting creativity of this series is next level :whew:. How the bro Heisuke is ok. It is clear that Atari is next level compared to Shin right now.

I feel like they handled the twist with Samura really well. He is essentially a war veteran who sees everyone protecting the sword bearers and feels like why must they sacrifice themselves? The issue is more so the swords than the sword bearers. If Chihiro can convince him it would have to be that. Though rough reunion.

Natsu having the courage to elaborate on her relationship to her father, and he took it the worst possible way. Is it haywire in his brain that if Natsu is in a relationship that she can't be giving her all in basketball? Considering his comment, is he even aware that his daughter tore her knee?

Taiki gets big points for making the sacrifice, but it does allude back to Natsu's point that he has next year from the beginning of the series. While the situation with her father will give her distractions, at least Taiki is trying to shoulder as much as he can for his girlfriend. Curious how the next chapter goes.

So gaining powers like Julian and Akos can either come from being a descendant or being bestowed on it for a price. Though her comments on Diana are concerning. Carrying another within her. More than likely it has something related to the prophecy.

It's really nice to see that the twins are able to help out in their own way. Hifumi can be the one to power up Momo instead of Kyo which is much riskier. I don't recall Momo & Rei sharing a heart, though that solution makes sense since you are blasting Hifumi's infinite power scale on Momo.

Though this turning into a nice moment for Momo because it is the first time in a longtime he can truly help out his family and save Taiyo. For the first time, he is fulfilling the role of father.

Taiki got balls of steel to call Natsu's dad father-in-law :pachaha:

You know not too surprised making conversation with Natsu's dad would be a challenge. I still love the determination of Taiki. Honestly, he does have a point that learning to be independent is important. We know how great Taiki's parents are, but sometimes you need to push yourself a little bit and living with his GF's dad is one way to do it.

We're also learning more about Natsu, and she was one that floated to so many hobbies that I feel her dad questioned would she ever have the passion for just one of them? I think he is fully aware what he said was too much, and he hurt his daughter's feelings. I wonder if part of him wanted to connect with his daughters and those expectations were his way to do it.

Likewise, I love Kyo mentioning that Natsu's dad sounding like him was a good sign. I imagine he can slightly break the ice with a little more effort, and we all know that is Taiki's best traits.

That should seal the victory since that was the winning condition Momo mentioned of breaking conquest. We get to see Taiyo combining harden and softening. The former to protect his heart, but the other to soften the blow to break conquest.

I really respect it because it shows how much he cares for the Sakamoto Family. He is fully aware that killing is wrong, but sometimes we go beyond to protect those we hold dearest. Now I am not sure how viable Shin can beat Tenkyu from everything we have seen. Tenkyu skills are cracked as hell. This will be a tough fight. I am curious if there is a chance Taro will be coming mid-fight since I can't imagine he would be too happy when he learns where Shin & Heisuke are.

I am actually really curious about the plan for Atari. Her being Shin's mentor going forward would make the most sense, but she draws out power from her future luck. I am curious how this differs to how it is for Shin, since most of the time he gets drained from using his powers. Although he has been able to use "STOP" and not feel side effects from what we have seen.

It seems clear at this point, Kiroku started the Arakawa school because his two apprentices weren't accepted in the Kashiwaya School. It is sad, but given Issho's ideology, it all makes sense.

Also, Kiroku having a style similar to we see with Akane gives the indication that she can truly carry Shiguma's Art.

We all knew Tokiyuki would hold a grudge against Mima. Though trusting his retainers and putting them in the position to succeed is what he has been all about from the start.

I love how well Tokiyuki gets along with the real Kojiro and how the Elusive Warrior Kojiro knew what was happening from a gut feeling.

Kiyoshi losing is a development this series needed because for the most part, the best chapters in this manga were the chapters that Kiyoshi was trying to improve his lack of social skills and making friends. I am curious what he meant by soulmate. I assume in terms of a combat and a rival worthy of his strength.
