So it makes sense why Chihiro gave up the blade as it gave him the best way to detect the storehouse. Also pretty cool to learn from Sojo that he it could be possible to control it remotely. It makes sense he uses them to scout during his missions.

I like the inclusion of this kid as he is a reminder that bidding on the swords means support of cases like his sister. At some point you are just supporting what they are doing. Of course, this is one thing Chihiro has in his case. Claiming both swords more likely then not would be to help the kid's sister.

On one hand, the storehouse doesn't exist in this world. Which makes sense how Kyora was able to project the Shunichi. On the flipside people don't use the door, but it doesn't make sense if in the scenario Kyora dies. It being possibly a thing very few people know about could be Kyora's intention. Since extra security measures would be dumb not to have.

How the factions continue to operate is very interesting. If Chihiro dies, the price of his sword would immediately rise since it could actually be usable. So Kamunabi seeking out to protect Chihiro given the situation makes sense. Once again the evil that the auction is supporting isn't something Hiyuki can stand by.

Still, the agreement that Chihiro would be willing to let himself die seems like a zero possibility. Since his goal is to prevent the blades from being used in the hands of evil. I guess it is a deal with it later type of deal.

The plan seems to be for Chihiro to draw as much attention as possible with Hakuri bringing it to him. While Shibia infiltrates the storehouse since he can handle the siblings minus the oldest. Though it feels that the people who were manipulating Sojo's actions could be coming into play soon.

As Karouko was there for Rintaro when he was figuring out his passion for being a baker. We got the same here with Kaoruko where more so she knows her passion, but is scared to take that first step. Essentially, her fear is rooted from her kindness, which is one of Kaoruko's greatest attributes.

This job will be a challenging one for her even understanding the responsibilities. I do love that Rintaro tried to diverge from looking at the worst-case scenario and look at the responsibilities in general. Being able to tackle those responsibilities is key for Karouko. As her boyfriend, he is going to do the best that he can do to support her. He will be there to talk to someone when she needs it. Plus he will bake all the cakes that she loves.

These past few chapters have made it clear to Karouko that she truly loves Rintaro more than anything else in the world.

100+ chapters into Red Storm:
- The first 100 chapters are pretty much, training and world-building. But after chapter 100, we move toward the war and politics portions and it's seamless. The world has been set up so well, that the conflict makes sense and we can just be hype to see how our MC and his boys impact the bigger battles.

I'm 200 chapters into Red Storm now, and there hasn't been a falloff in sight. After all the world-building and training, most of the next hundred chapters are paying off Yulian and his crew's work. They finally get to go to battle and collect some feats. But Yulian's a new general, so he also makes mistakes which is dope.

Then the world expands even further. We get a better idea of the Godly powers behind the scenes. Then we get to see the Empire. For almost 200 chapters, we're focused on conflict between desert tribes that Yulian wants to unite against the empire. But toward the tail end of 200 chapters, we finally see the Empire (and it's like a big allegory for Western powers and corrupt capitalists I swear).

The 200 chapter run sets up for Yulian to play a deciding role in the future of Desert, the Empire, and eventually even the God-like beings...and they've established really powerful enemies in each realm for different reasons. The Desert has a master warrior and leader. The Empire has the most tactical political minds and best resources. The Gods are running on a completely broken power scale.

I'm not sure how they'll bring all this together. But it's got close to 200 more chapters, and I'm pretty hype because this is around where I got cut off from reading last time.

The symbol that Chihiro recognizes is because those belong to Hishaku, the organization responsible for killing his dad. Yura is the one responsible for his dad's death specially. Chihiro has been a calm protagonist, but there is no surprise he slightly loses his composure. Their goal is obviously the enhancement blades and technically, they are correct that they can enslave them. Since we know just killing the person will remove the seal. Yura's goal was more so test Chihiro, and he passes by going to help Hakuri.

Tenri & Hakuri are the youngest in their family. In a very interesting turn, Hakuri isn't worthless and in many ways is a late bloomer. While for Tenri he was able to contribute early, but lacks potential. In many ways, his father knows this and giving him a weapon with the energy of an enchantment sword is asking for his death for his father. Ironic because Chihiro was clearly protected by his father. At least Chihiro understands the situation.

It is very interesting how Hakuri could have ended up on the same path as Tenri. Doomed to die for his father and the family. Much liked them he viewed those in the storehouse as merchandise. Though he got attached to one female "merchandise". He built a bond with her that felt genuine that was something he never had with his family. Since he was clearly abused and used. Makes you wonder if Hakuri has the biggest potential of all the kids in the family.

The sad part for Hakuri is that getting tricked by this woman gave him a valuable lesson. She simply wanted to die because she after being betrayed once she clearly was afraid. Now did she know her time was up and didn't want to see Hakuri die, it is hard to say. This gave Hakuri a lesson that what his family calls merchandise they are some people who have their own lives. His family took that away with their evil.

This series has a lot of things going for it. This is fewer werewolves vs vampires with gang attachment but more Vampires being the antagonist and werewolves being a tool used. It seems that K seems pretty neutral and is more about doing his job. Definitely Jimmy & Lili's dynamic will more likely be the biggest important dynamic in the series.

I think they did a good job giving Dorothea good antagonist vibes. She is very calculating because she knew Jimmy would very likely be loyal, and he would have if he didn't meet K. While the cops yeah they were going to blab about them being vampires.

You know, despite Anya's issues with getting Stellas in a tradition way. One thing this chapter really showcased that Anya has been able to make friends and associate with a good of families. Makes me wonder if he has been too hyperfixated on the friendship scheme with Damian. At this point, Anya tries too hard with Damian, but I think they could have been closer if Anya didn't try as hard as with Becky and the others.

The bittersweet point that Loid's mind is mainly on gathering information while the other parents (very likely Yor as well) want to see have the children be safe and not have to deal with the burdens they deal with currently. Melinda making a surprise appearance. Of course, she was stationed in a place Damian wouldn't go.

For someone like Alpha, it is easy to see he would develop tunnel vision in this scenario and Hifumi would rather take action, so it seems in character for them to want to do something.Although this is the scenario that works in Asa's favor.

As expected, Tenkyu was a part of Al-Kamar, but he is different from the rest. Since the purpose of Al-Kamar was to create killing machines with a detachment to emotions. Only Tenkyu was a success in that regard. It makes sense why Kei wouldn't want him on board. Though clearly something happened in the past. Curious to learn more about it.

It is fun to look at Natsu & Taiki and see for them so much has changed. It's clear that last year at this time that while her feelings whether she loved Taiki wasn't clear, on the other hand, they had a special bond. As they continued to support each other for their goals. Then the Yumeka situation popped up and that was made Natsu's feelings for Taiki clear to herself.

This manga's strengths lies how relatable it can be. Ideally, Natsu wouldn't have injured her knee or Kyo could have revealed his feelings to Ayame earlier. But life doesn't go the way that you want. It's going to be a tough road for Kyo, but hopefully Taiki can help him bounce back up.

Haruto also starting to learn about the heavily rumored kiss between Taiki & Hina last year. I just hope he doesn't drag his feet too much.

I am really liking the direction of this arc. First with Kiyoshi with occult club would be really good because it would give him more chance to interact with his peers, which is where this manga is the most interesting because of how OP Kiyoshi is.

It seems the "vacation" was more so for Mr. Sasaki to go after a traitor. It makes sense if this is going to tackle the topic of demons being god and that could coexist with humans. We should also be seeing an exorcist being evil. I imagine this is a task that he didn't want to assign Kiyoshi yet because he could maybe get too emotional.

Akane-banashi Chapter 132

Issho & Shiguma's bond, as expected, was tight. You might have mistaken them for being brothers if you didn't know better. Though if it wasn't clear enough already in the present, Issho was always the serious one and Shiguma had a more fun personality.

The Elusive Samurai Chapter 178

Tokiyuki seeing his uncle and grandmother is a short, but sweet moment. Fun reunion for with Yoritsugu and him getting saved by Sadamune is unexpected. Would have liked more downtime, but two-year time skip coming with a final battle between Tokiyuki & Sadamune to settle things.

Ichi the Witch Chapter 8

It makes sense that each Majikas has a trial, but it's good that the answer isn't always bet the majika up. Tbh fashion sense is not Ichi's strong suit, so I am wonder if Desscaras steps in if he is struggling. Or we get a surprise next chapter.

Also pretty impressive how quick Ichi is adapting to his use with magic. He attacked like it was an instinct basically.

We are given a more firm declaration that a sorcerer's talents are innate. So someone like Hakuri always had the talent, but did a poor job applying it. It makes you upset at the abuse he suffered where his talents were being used for the storehouse and took the extra beating. Curious if that is also why he could command both Isou & the storehouse. Be a warrior and Patriarch. Great moment for Hakuri.

Talk about a moment that makes you think Kyora was the absolute worst. He asked his son Tenri to protect an emergency door that didn't need to be protected as it was already broken. It is one thing to keep your opponent on your toes, but to ask him to risk his life is just sickening. These sons want nothing more than to praise their father, and he just looks at them like tools.

The idea of registration was something I don't think Chihiro had planned when he handed over Enten to Kyora, but this is a huge opportunity that was given. This is what gives Chihiro the advantage. As the Goldfish that is summoned by Enten whatever Chihiro attacks with Enten or the Goldfish come in contact with Hakuri can transport them in and out of the storehouse. Of course, this takes a great toll on on Hakuri which puts into perspective how strong Kyora is.

Chapter 40 really puts into perspective how strong the Shinuchi is. Also, how does it work compared to the other enhancated blades? For those, it is simple 1 swordsman per enchanted blade. Given how much protection and power the Shinuchi has. How does it work if is bound to a swordsman? What if it doesn't. There are too many what ifs. Yura is making Kyora a guinea pig as much as Sojo was.

Finished up the 2nd arc. The story in itself has been good and the decision-making of the characters has been nice, and the cast has been solid. Most notably how the different factions face off and how they plan and get the upper hand is the bast part of the series.

One giant weakness for the series is how it relies too much on flashback exposition. It really feels like a manga that is best to read chapter by chapter rather than binging it. This is one issue that could get worse as the manga goes on if the author is not careful like MHA & JJK.

Overall, solid manga and should be next in line as the next-gen battle shounen after JJK & Sakamoto Days. (Note: I don't consider Dandadan or CSM as battle shounens)

The battle between Chihiro & Hiyuki vs Kyora is very interesting. More and the power of the Shinuchi is nothing to sneeze at. As it literally is fukking over Kyora's mind. Destroying the storehouse and the auction. The fact this is only a fraction of its power is scary.

As we see a flashback of Kyora's wife on her deathbed. How the curse of Sazanami family with the storehouse and the auction cause them all to get obsessed. In fact, Kyora could have lived a good normal life. Unfortunately, he is too deep into it to get out. Hakuri knew his dedication was strong, but that type of gamble

As this arc finishes up, we see the proposition by Chihiro to join Kanunabi. It does put Chihiro into a more underdog role as those among the organization have years of experience. Given that he would promise to hand over the blades, and he would die, this is the best way for him to proceed to carry out his father's will.

Now the interesting point is that Kanunabi could think the best decision is to use Shinuchi, which we know is what Chihiro wants to avoid. Now the key for him is to show the best interest to not use the Shinuchi or the enchanted blades. The key being Hakuri is a very clever solution. If they are sealed in the storehouse by Hakuri, then there is a way to deadlock the Shinuchi.

Regarding each person who holds an enchanted blade, they are hiding out in a specific area of Japan. The first clue is to go find them. However, Chihiro needs to prove to Kamunabi that he is trustworthy. That is the first big step.

In the most obvious result it is less that Chihiro joins Kamunabi & more so their interest aligns similar to how it was with Hiyuki during the Rakuzaichi arc. Ultimately, Chihiro's skills in using Enten is simply an asset that the Kamunabi can't turn down. Ultimately, they are shifting the conversation until after the sword masters are protected.

The first being Yoji Uruha, who be all accounts is unusual. But he greatly admired Chihiro's father. Kind of interesting that seeing the resolve in Chihiro's eyes was so clear that he has mistaken him for his father. Though the concerning parts are that if these sword masters lose their sorcery at the price of being paired with an enchanted blade like Chihiro. It really raises the point that reuniting the enchanted blades & their sword masters is the best-case scenario.

Ultimately, as it makes sense that Hakuri recovering and getting the two sword masters on their side can turn the tide in Chihiro's favor. Though the most curious thing here is that unlike with Uruha, Samura can hold his own, which makes it very curious. Also, him having met Chihiro before gives their reunion a special feel for Samura to see how much Chihiro has grown.

Interesting getting introduced to the Wizard of Yellow Basen. Who, based on first impressions, seems like a good dude. Though not too surprising, there are people among the colors that would want the Prince as an apprentice since he holds two of the underworld eyes. Purple will more than likely make an appearance soon and the interesting part that Red & Blue used to be together. Which is odd.

Though the most interesting but is when Zemu mentioned Kai-Hen's are the world's version of revenge. I get the point Zemu makes is that there are consequences for poking your noses too deep. Ironically, Basen's apprentice is about to do just that.

Samura gives us the OP blind character troupe. He uses his smell to detect those he knows. Echo location is an interesting tool, but it has the issue that it can only gauge where others are through sound. As evident if sound is interrupted, that is Samura's biggest problem. Though the Makizumi are the sole ones that can fight with Samura, which is thanks to their stealth arts. Though obviously, he can smell them, but Samura's smell and hearing serve two different purposes.

On Chihiro's side he is dealing with Hiruhiko who is quite the pest. Though Chihiro can see past his manipulative statements if we are the same. Chihiro is a killer, but his way of killing far differs from Hiruhiko. It comes from how he admires his father, Samura and the others he admired. They killed which they aren't proud of, but there was a reason for it.

Yura still has numerous options, but the concerning part that he will have a weapon soon is cause for concern. His trump card is most likely something we won't see soon.

One noticeable thing after the big fight last volume is that Yuki becomes stronger with Kyouka as he gets lent out to the other commanders and 7th squad members. It makes sense that their natural abilities would give Yuki an experience and similar to building muscle, just that experience achieving that high brings invaluable experience. I do like the unsteady feeling Kyouka has because that is her ability.

The next mission has Mira in charge which she is bringing Kyouka along with her. I do like how the personalities of both her and Kyouka are with each other. They have a passion to out do the other, but not at the consequence of the mission. Much like the 7th squad, the 2nd squad is seen as the first line of defense, so it is easy to see they have the most combat experience. The 2nd Squad has very much a delinquent setup judging by their Vice Captain. Whose ability can power up Mira. This works very well with Mira, whom can create copies of herself, but each retaining her strength. Makes for an insane army.

So the mission comes because one of the members of the Thunder Eight Gods is kidnapping women essentially. It is interesting that Kuusetsu gains the ability of those that she consumes. So she can use the abilities that Naon & Coco had. Despite saving the woman, Kuusetsu comes crashing when Yuki is alone, which creates quite the bad situation.

The picture of Nei from the last chapter correlated to her house being that mansion. I loved how Alma got hung up by the wrong details. But it makes sense if a person is suddenly crushed out of nowhere, it is too much of a supernatural coincidence to label it anything, but an accident.

Well, it is nice to get some Nei focus now. Curious how she is going to handle herself after seeing the robber getting crushed.

The structure of the gang is really interesting. Underneath the previous boss you have two underbosses one human and the other vampire. Also, I am curious to think if either Dorothea or Leo becomes the new boss, what happens regarding the Family Consigliere.

For Jimmy, as a rat, his role is to gather information. However, how he did that in this chapter was great. He really uses his experiences to good useful in a practical way. Now that the location was given to Lili, let's see how they make use of it.

I really like how the rest of the siblings don't try to dismiss what the twins can do when they find them. It is mostly likely the fact that they know the twins will hear from Mutsumi later how they got themselves into trouble. Plus, with Alpha's skills they wouldn't do this without a reason. Though the one concern I have is the twins have to make it back. Which gives me a bad feeling they might encounter something along the way. I hope I am wrong.

Torres's fighting advice to Taro which is even more clear than what he said before. When Taro fights it is just one random weapon, but if he were to use multiple simultaneously that could give him an edge or even constantly switching out. Though him being invited over for dinner really shows how out of touch of reality Torres is.

Now it makes sense Kei wants no part of Tenkyu in his plans anymore. Kei isn't completely heartless to go after Sakamoto's family. Shin's anger makes sense considering how much the family has done for him. It does bring the question if the killing rule, he is too strong and deranged to be kept alive. Kei knows Taro will put his families' protection above anything else. So the threat of the bait is enough.

Man seeing Hina hanging out with Kyo & Taiki is something that I am thrilled to see. It's one thing to say that Hina is over Taiki, but hanging out with him and trying to figure out how to help Kyo really shows they are back being friends. I do hope we see more of the interactions we had between them before Hina confessed.

It does make sense why Kyo fell for Ayame rather than Saki. Saki was the childhood friend you think you never had a chance with. While for Ayame they started talking because of the drama between Hina & Taiki. Initially, he had issues with Ayame's line of thinking since back then she said that Taiki should accept Hina's feelings regardless of her own. Which Kyo was very against. It is because he didn't think high of her which when she grew on him, slowly the feelings built up, and he felt comfortable to just talking to her. Unfortunately, he didn't process his own feelings fast enough.

But also since from the very start, we have slowly gotten a rivalry between Tokiyuki & Sadamune. Sadaumune has grown old, but Tokiyuki lights a fire in him that's very cool to see. Centuria Chapter 29

I am not sure if I like King as the long-term antagonist, but at the very least I do like him being disgusted at killing innocents to kill one child. Tho the prophet at this point will be the one that will ensure the prophecy comes to pass at this point.

I am curious about Akros's relationship with his sister. Considering the comment, he was the only one who cared about her. No surprise she is helping out the prophet.

Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi Chapter 19

Mr. Sasaki's skills is essentially a gambler with "luck" as his mechanic. Not a fan of these skills in these types of series, but let's see how it goes. Interesting to consider that Yuda would have been Kiyoshi's senpai.

Now we got the Great Demon Lord. Kiyoshi handled the other Demon Lords so far without much effort being expended. So lets see how this goes.

Pretty interesting start. It heads heavy into supernatural mysteries as there are 7 of them. Nene Yashiro essentially becomes Hanako-kun's assistant regarding keeping balance with these supernatural mysteries. In chapter 2 it is revealed that rumors give these stories their power. Which seems the best way Nene can help. Kou Minamoto, who tries to exorcise Hanako-kun seems to be a major character. Coming from a family of exorcists and makes for a good addition alongside Hanako-kun and Nene

The basis of this series is about the 7 of these supernatural mysteries. What exactly will happen when these become conquered would be quite interesting. Also, how does that tie in with Nene helping Hanako-kun? The Minamoto is a relative power that conquered the Oni Yokai. Kou's issues with Hanako-kun are warranted, but it does seem God gave him a chance to redeem himself, which is interesting.

628DE63F-39AB-4199-8ADB-FE24DB01838F.jpg

The volume ends with the arc that deals with the 2nd of the Seven Mysteries, the Misaki stairs, when Nene's friend Akane goes missing after her telling it. The creepy part is that not only is she missing, but her existence is basically gone. Essentially, life has changed to the point where Akane no longer exists. So the trio head to Misaki stairs since Hanako mentions that supernatural deities like Misaki are doing too much harm.

The stairs connect to the Netherworld and, basically, going there exists your existence like with Akane. Of course, her being lost there doesn't directly imply that she is a goner. As we learn a bit about Misaki is that she used to be a teacher, but was torn into pieces. Her request is to find her pieces starting with her arm. Although no luck and the volume ends on a cliffhanger. The big issue is that they are in Misaki's domain where she is basically unbeatable. Which definitely creates issues.

It's nice that Eiko realizes that Kei was being controlled. But of course, he is on the same side. This is a pretty nice characterization for Eiko as some who loves digging into the occult there is a limit of it for her. It shows how much she genuinely cares for Kei. It was also nice when dealing with the Sultra that Kei was able to handle it on his own. Showing that he can prove his worth.

At this point in the plan, they had to collect the remaining graduates and, depending on their personalities, they had to reseal them. Most of the ones Kei and Eiko took care of in this chapter were the difficult ones. Moving to the final phase of beating God is next.

I am curious at this point as we see Yattara bathing with the kids when he very likely doesn't need to. Makes me wonder if the company of the kids would grow on him more and more.

Really nice tricks with the use of the fireworks. It doesn't matter if you have 100% accuracy if you can't see the target. This is really one of those moments that given the quality of the anime it would just enhance it so well. Between the fireworks, Fern being patients, the tension slowly building up and add music god I can't wait to see this scene animated in 10 years. Ultimately, Fern's quick draw/spell activation was the difference and what Frieren was betting on.

Frieren does have a point that technically this is Fern's mission, but not hers. Obviously, she will do her best to put Fern in the best position as possible because Fern is her apprentice. Honestly, Sense's composure being off makes sense because the idea of an immortal elf possibly dying has to be taken seriously. Still now that Serie has arrived things will only start heating up now.

The thing with the underworld eyes with the Prince is getting scarier. We know that Zemu had it before. He then points only one could exist at a time. But the Prince having two just isn't bad enough, but the power is far doubled. Essentially, the underworld eyes more than likely when work together can be seen as a multiplier rather than summing its powers. The situation is very delicate.

Great chapter. God the art is beautiful. As Tanpopo wants to save both fiends and humans, Shade will be protecting her. After all, that dream and her pursuing it is one big quality that he loves about her. Shade being Tanpopo's light is both interesting and very sweet. How Shade saved her she would like to do that for others.

Sadly, for Alice it wasn't meant to be because Tanpopo wasn't escaping with him. Escaping that realm required Alice to die, so for Tanpopo to save as many fiends and humans as possible Alice needed to meet his end. Of course, I love the "what if scenario" that they could have been friends. If only tragedy never happened to Alice. Though this encounter was good for Tanpopo because here she learns that she won't be able to save everyone. Glad she is continuing to push forward.

I wonder what it could be to look in the mirror. I guess for Yuna just because Yae & Asahi had their past with their parents and overcoming that was a clear obstacle for them. Furthermore, I wonder for Yuna if it is more important to focus on herself rather than who she was maybe or who her parents are? After all, Yae & Asahi's big arcs did happened and their families did play a big part, but the key for both was them improving themselves and understanding what they wanted to do. Yuna just needs to keep focusing on herself. Learning from her adoptive mother can be a big part of that.

Though I loved how Yuna talked about her time at the shrine. You can tell she loves Yuna & Asahi to death and despite not being blood related, they are truly sisters. This chapter really states how much Uryu has done and how he has developed. As the girls point out, Yuna has truly fallen in love with him.

Honestly, this arc for Nene has a lot of potential. Having a strict, but good instructor for her. I guess for her, she needs to prove to her father that she will stick with, but I feel making progress and not trying to make it big as soon as possible is the solution.

Getting introduced to the concept of a divine Yorishiro given that the school mystery be weakened significantly, that is what would give them a fighting chance. Essentially #2 wanted to bring back Misaki. Though the students she brought along that failed were turned into dolls. Luckily, Hanako mentions to Nene that in the Netherworld they can't be dead or alive since it is on the border. Once again their fate will be determined by finding #2's Yorishiro and curious that he sends Nene down there.

C2AF896E-152D-47D4-A688-D967B1F06F17.jpg

Though it is interesting that we get to see a bit of Nene's past self looking for her love. It was all self-serving and #2 just wants to be reunited with her teacher. Ultimately, the issue was that she abandoned her responsibilities and went too far, which is Hanako's goal. Now we learn that #2 is Yako, and she was rather an animal of the class rather than a student. Though the person who was keeping track of Nene and Hanako came back to report to a girl that has the same flame as as Hanako. Is she another school mystery or something more?

The chapter dealing with the giant tree in the garden making students fall in love was a simple, but good chapter for Nene. After getting the kiss, the romantic in her is getting out of control. She mentions how Hanako isn't her type, but she clearly is at least fond of him. Of course, Hanako was able to lure it out since Nene was protected by him. But Hanako's jokes about Nene's feelings finally took a step too far. The fact he came with a sincere apology got Nene to evaluate her friendship with him. Most of their friendship has been pretty one-sided.

The final arc for this volume was centered around Kou, whom is an exorcist for the Minamoto family. A little ironic that the senpai that Nene had a crush on was his older brother. The attitude towards Hanako is much like what Kou's was when we first saw him. Kou has a lot to learn because he doesn't feel certain about taking out Hanako. He decided it would be better to showcase that Hanako isn't an evil supernatural. That was his first mistake. Yes, Hanako has been helping to deal with the issues of the other supernaturals around school, he helps return what the Mokke steal and even dived to get Kou's charm back.

7100DAFC-1778-4EC9-9631-ABFF796D74A4.jpg

Though this is where Hanako gets a little annoying because right now, he is toning for his past deeds. It is a pretty topic to ask a kid what would justify killing another person, but the question has merit. It does feel that him attacking Kou was more so bait for Teru. Did he expect for Kou to jump in? Much like how Nene feels, it is difficult to even get a grasp on Hanako. Who did he kill? Does he actually feel guilty and wants to atone? Is this all forced? At the very least, this was a big lesson that Kou. Of course, we see Nene meeting up with the woman from a few chapters and Hanako not being around gives slight concern.

As the fight continues against the God, we still have the fight where Sergeant is still in play. Though we some eye formation which is what binds the Sergeant and keeps him from dying. Though makes you wonder if this is someone who longs for the Sergeant?

Meanwhile, as the Orion gets summoned, this gets interesting. This gives the Sergeant his death as he requested. Though with the Orion being able to absorb the Sergeant, that amount of energy is up another then what we saw from her previously. Though was it part of the God's play to allow the Orion to absorb him since he knew she would rebel against Yayoi. To my understanding, she went past the House of Flames, which is what Yayoi wanted, but to a fourth curse called Kugai. What happens next can be either really good or really bad. Thank god Tama got here quickly.

shyts getting interesting.

The hint that Nene received was to visit the number 5 school mystery and Sensei running into her is a funny coincidence. Aoi explaining the mystery as the Four PM Bookstacks. The weird part is how in touch Aoi is with all of this regards people's names being on revealing their past, present and future is interesting. On first guess, red would imply someone who is not dead and who's not alive. Though as Kou & Nene check out the books, they only find their own books and makes matters worse, the future has red pages, and they turn red as Nene reads it. Luckily, Hanako comes by and introduces them to the Curator Tsuchigomori who monitors the 5th mystery.

Tsuchigomori is one example of a supernatural that blends with humans. Although the concern is that one of the 7 is a traitor. The only human who might fit that regard is Aoi, but it is too early to assume anything. Essentially, whoever spread the rumors essentially targeted #2 and her going berserk was part of their plan. Hanako's idea is to suspend the idea of the 7 mysteries, which is a solution to find the traitor since they would most likely not go along with it.

Before Nene got to see Tsuchigomori's Yorishiro, he wanted some additional information to crave his thirst for knowledge. Him being interested in finding out Hanako was interested in making friends was odd at the moment. It mostly ties the fact that Tsuchigomori's Yorishiro is a "lunar" rock that his former student gave him. Amane Yugi who was Hanako's past self before he died. We learn that Amane's book was the only example of a future that Tsuchigomori saw that changed. Unlike other students whose curiosity grew more and more, Amane wanted to stay at the school. The sad part is that because Amane died, he has been bound to this school. Why did his future change when he was supposed to be a future teacher? How does this relate to the person he killed? We can clearly see that Tsuchigomori really cared for Amane and Nene finds herself wanting to learn more about Hanako and his past as Amane Yugi.

The final chapter of the volume was more so a transition one to move to the next arc. We got a nice moment for Kou trying to cheer up Nene because learning all the stuff about Hanako was a lot to deal with. Also, gotta a little insight that Kou is the most dependable in his family with taking care of the house and other chores. It's sweet how these two bond together and wanting to learn more about Hanako even if their motivation differs. Big drop at the end of the volume where the one who killed him appears. Curious how this ghost relates to the 7 mysteries.

More than likely sink meant sinking into a despair you can't escape from. This attack honestly would have killed most other ghosts, but God has strength unparalleled. Being able to brute force his escape isn't unexpected. Still with the Sergeant and Orion down, its down to one final battle.

Also, neat part in this chapter we really got to see that whoever was the last cursed one in Ai's bloodline, Tama knew her. Was it a lover, friend, or something else? It at least gives credence to his desire to save Ai along with Yayoi, Eiko & Kei.
