Ren making her impact felt rather quickly. She was able to take care of the terrorists before Kyouka and Yuuki could get there. Her ability looks very interesting. He makes the comparison to his sister, but it's safe to say that there was still clearly a limit to how far his sister would go. She asserted her presence, but she still valued him as a sibling. Ren definitely looks at him as a toy and a dog. Along with her technique with the sword, Kyouka seems to be the best at martial arts as Kyouka goes to show that if you take everyone's ability she is the strongest of them.
Shikoku sneaking into Yuki's room where Shishu tried to sneak in and Tenka was already in there was interesting. Well surely Tenka will always be around to help Yuki. In a way it is reassuring and creepy at the same time. With training between the Kyouka and Tenka's squads in commander of the 5th squad, Yakumo Ezo-San. One thing that is clear personality wise she is playful and electrifying. But her ability to use the wind makes her one of the fastest in terms of techniques. Her trying out Yuki leads to basically a massive upgrade to her skills. Essentially flight is granted to Yuki, but combine her skills with this new form, and she can strike at quick range, but she can make for some great hit-and-run tactics.
At this point with Ren mentioning to the other commanders of others being able to use Kyouka's slave ability for themselves. It does give Yuki great versatility in the different forms and options that he can have. I assume this is done so that the rest of the cast has more merit to remain relevant. Given that the side effects it has on Kyouka, it makes you wonder if it is even viable? We also see an 8th member of the Thunder Gods in Kuusetsu. One thing that is clear she has adapted Naon and Coco's personality as they are her fuel. But her potential looks terrifying even against the other Thunder Gods. That does make the next matchup was interesting.
The volume ends with the big curiosity of Ren wanting to try out Yuki for herself. Yuki's transformation is quite terrifying, and he loses his humanity because he essentially becomes an animal. Ironically this is coming from Ren he looks at everyone as beneath her. The strength of this ability is terrifying as it clears mobs with ease. But quite evident that this form strips Yuuki of his humanity as he bites Ren. There is a quick fight between those two and one thing that is even more terrifying in this form is that, Yuuki can self regenerate. Though here we get insight to Ren's ability which is to use the ability of the eight Buddhas. Given that she can use two at once, makes that even more terrifying. Though it's funny at the end that Ren assumes she gets to choose what Yuuki's reward it.

Mission: Yozakura Family Volume 7
The conversation in the beginning with Mutsumi and Taiyou was a much heavier one than I was expecting. Mutsumi has a mark on right above where her heart because she was captured by Tanpopo. Very likely at the time when her mother was killed, her father is the one killing her. She mentions how it is her father's plan to inject Taiyou with the family blood. In the most calculating scenario. It makes their father's motives much more interesting. Why would he do that? He left the family, but made a move that one would consider would benefit the family?
On the train when he finds Momo and Kawashyta, we see Momo giving Taiyou advice. The advice he gives is much of the father kind would give to his son-in-law, rather than as an enemy. It more provides the idea that while Momo is working with Tanpopo, he still has intentions good for the family. Just hard to work it out. Meanwhile, the doctor was simply there to gauge how a Yozakura Blood User differs than one of a Cherry Blossom Leaf Hazakura user. White snake is one with 100% compatibility with the drug.

Taiyou's mom was a nurse and Kawashyta administered the drug to Yuki. For Yuki taking the drug resulted in a complete recovery and Kawashyta wanted to keep Yuki in his services. However, he eliminated Taiyou's family simply for being witnesses. Even the children who were never around Yuki, but heard about her from her parents. In reality, it isn't Yuki's fault that it happened, but you can understand why she blames herself. Ultimately Yuki is an example of a character that benefited from Tanpopo, and she is grateful for getting to have an extended lease on life. But the consequences even if they were out of her control is a lot to bare. You can really see how the Asano family loved her.

After all there isn't anything significant she can do on her own, but being a GPS tracker for Tanpopo's hideout is at least something she can do. Overall the fight was a challenging one for Taiyou, grueling even. But Yuki mentioning what happened with his parents riled up his emotions, which with someinne blood greatly increases his strength. Here it is a given how much superior Yozakura Blood is. But the issue is that for Taiyou at this point that will kill him as Momo mentioned. Wounding himself and losing blood was the one way out of that issue. Blood Letting is an interesting technique. As Momo mentioned, Nanao probably mentioned this scenario to Taiyou. But these emotions also gave Taiyou the desire to protect his new normal with Mutsumi. And in the most Taiyou way, he was able to knock out Yuki using the once in a shot technique from Shinzou. As Taiyou mentioned he holds no hard feelings and his parent's gifts to her will help him.
Taiyou gets attacked by two other Cherry Blossom Leaf Hazakura users. Luckily both Futaba and Rin came to his rescue. To put it simple their skills for outweighs these two enemies. Futaba having trust and confidence that Taiyou made some progress was a sweet moment. At the end of the volume it is mentioned the attack on Kawashyta's will happen in two weeks. In the meantime Grandpa Ban is helping Taiyou train. Which is cool as it gives them time to bond as husbands of the current and former leader of the family. The one bit in this volume is where Kawashyt mentions how someone is allowing Momo to do whatever he wants. I assume the leader of Tanpopo is whom he refers to?

A big information drop in the early part of the volume that Rin was originally a test subject for Tanpopo. She founded Hinagiku for the sole purpose to have a force against Tanpopo. Despite what their reasons are, they are a force that needs to be stopped. Ban's training with Taiyou was meant to fully bloom him. Basically at this point Taiyou is only half awakened. His abilities are stronger, but nothing defining. Once he gets the trigger in beginning fully awakened he will have an ability that defines him. For Taiyou, he has hardening. It is very in line with his attitude to protect Mutsumi. Although poor Taiyou in the way he got set up by Ban and Mutsumi to be in a position to greater increase the chances of that said awakening. Well Keiko was there to discipline those two.
Keiko also has a talk with Mutsumi in that, if she loses everyone and evil is about to beat the family, She can force open the book to hide the families secrets. Though we get a nice moment with Taiyou and Mutsumi that she won't have to make that position. It would be interesting if they are ever in position to unlock those secrets.
As the family gets ready for the operation, Kyouichirou delegates a task to him and Taiyou solely. He has come with the conclusion that Tanpopo has their mother's corpse, given her far their research has come. A very disgusting reality for the family. It makes it even more puzzling why Momo is working with them. Kyouichirou is a character that has slowly shown great signs as the series has continued on. Going from an annoying side character to a leader in family to shoulder the burden that Mutsumi has to bare.
As the operation starts we have Futaba against Akai. This matchup is very interesting as Futaba is very interesting with martial arts, she can have impact with the wind. As we have seen before. Akai holds some insane fire and thermal skills. Overall the fight never gets out of hand for Futaba, as you get the sense she is on another level even of one such as Akai. Akai's backstory in itself is tragic in which Kawashyta had no part in the fire that killed her family. Ironically like with Yuki he saved her. But with Akai she filled her heart with revenge. When someone loses everything they loved, but gained power that's only nature and Futaba understands that clearly. She understands that everyone deals with frustration differently.
As Kyouichirou deals with his frustration with violence, Futaba accepts the pain and takes it head on. It shows her trait as the reliable older sister that wants to ease the burden of her younger siblings. In conclusion to this fight, we see Futaba's blooming, Magnanimity. We see two uses of it, the first the kinetic energy combined with her powers to neutralize the flames. She is able to unleash a vicious blow to beat Akai. At the end this was no contest as it showed how power the best of the family can be. Even seeing Akai's suffering she accepted it and not allow her to risk her own life.
The volume ends with Kyouichirou's biggest fear realized. Kawashyta and Tanpopo have their mother's corpse.

Mission: Yozakura Family Volume 9
As the operation continues, Shinzou goes up against Kurosawa. Who basically was turned into a killing tool for Kawashyta and literally into a weapon that regenerates. However, in a fun dynamic this turned into a fun matchup for Shinzou whom can use Ukontumeric Cherry Blossom to change to any weapon he chooses. But what make him scary is when he fully blooms, essentially he can destroy any weapon and given that Kurosawa is practically a weapon, it was over for him. We don't normally see the families' mother too much in backstories. But her motherly love for Shinzou is perfect. He is a strong, but kind person. But being scared of one's power is very real, and it would be very easy for Shinzou to hate himself. Basically for Shinzou loving himself would be the first step to accepting and understanding his power.
We start seeing the test subjects being denoted to die. Showing how sick Kawashyta is. But the more concerning fact that there are over 2000 layers of concentrated Cherry Blossom Leaf Harkuza there. Kawashyta's plan is basically to have the hideout explode. Civilians will be either embrace this new power or be killed when coming into contact with it. It's up to Kyouichirou and Taiyou to stop that part of the plan. More than likely that has ties in to their mission. At this point right now the issue is the denotation trigger is Kawashyta, so it makes things very alarming.
To stop that Shion needs to hack the system and Kengo end up working together. Kengo might not have any super OP skill or anything like, but with the use of his disguises his deception can be deadly. Then add his blooming, which allows him to impersonate the person he is copying and add on his clones, this is a nightmare detection skill for opponents to have to deal with. One biggest weakness of Cha-Cha he doesn't truly know his fellow associates unlike the case with the Yozakura family. Then you add Shion's analyzation blooming skill makes her practically a super computer. Kengo holding up his end it was an easy victory for Shion.
While that was happening Nanao was having slight trouble saving the test subjects. For Mizuki society wasn't one for him as it was that exact society that lead him to lose his family. But he found himself attached to Ai similar to his child. A sweet relationship these two have where each of their lives have been misery, but they sought out to protect each other. Still Nanao's blooming is able to get him out of the tough spot. His adaptation was even stronger here where Mizuki's poison became ineffective. Nanao's point that everything here is meant to be controlled by Kawashyta. By being forced to rely on him, they aren't truly able to adapt and evolve. Anything that robs a human basic function like that is disgusting to say the least.

This Chapter headlines Flamme's importance as humanity's founder of magic. Magic is something that is ingrained in the empire's everyday lives and honestly could be something their citizens take for granted. The empire being Flamme's ideal vision of how magic should be utilized. It is something accessible to all not a privilege for the talented.
Shadow Warriors are hiding with various occupations. Just like with the old man this could be concerning especially given that Ubel and Land aren't present.

Mission: Yozakura Family Volume 10
More revelation and connections between Kawashyta and the Yozakura family. It seems he was tasked of doing experiments on the first head of the family. The real question is how did she come to be? She mentions being liberated? It would make sense that she could have an immortal life that she wants to end. But is her existence is the families blood itself? Way too much certainty. Kawshyta's Seed Sowing Project is one thing, but the secrets of the Yozakura Family seem to be darker. Is this something Momo knows, and what is hidden in the basement? The 1st head's goal is the same as Kawashyta where everyone is gifted.
The poison that Kawashyta uses against Taiyo is very clever. Given how long he has researched it basically creating a poison where its effects when a family member is blooming is a smart tactic. But the ring with Mutsumi in a way seems to connect them in a multitude of ways. Essentially even if Taiyo were to die the ring would channel Mutsumi's heartbeat and that would serve as a source for the families blood to kick in again. Essentially now that Taiyou has the Yozakura blood through his veins he has two sources of hearts his and Mutsumi. So basically to kill him, they would also need to kill Mutsumi. Unless Taiyou's death is something more deadly like hitting his brain.
As the family gets down to help Taiyou, and we see Kawashyta bloom it is a never ending struggle. Cherry Blossom Leaf Harazuka doesn't decrease. Essentially the secret mission of recovering Rei's body is crucial here, as the thread from Rei's body which tie the family blood to regenerate the Leaf Harazuka. So the mom's body is the source at the moment, essentially this is where Taiyou's hardening can shine. He can use that to protect both himself and Rei's body from the explosion. After that point it was just waiting till the family can detain Kawashyta. But the aftermath between Ban and his son-in-law Momo is rather interesting. It's obvious he wasn't looking to help Kawashyta, but his sole purpose was to gather his wife's heart. If it was for revenge, he would return to the family. What could be needed from Rei's heart? Feels like the plot line of Momo and the first head are connected.
Beyond that with the aftermath we see Ai joining the family. It is a fun perspective of Taiyou as now he sees someone in the position he was before. As he suddenly joined the family as well. It's easy for someone in Ai's position to think they don't either. Slowly bit by bit she will open up. The more concerning aftermath has to do with Taiyou and his blooming is going out of control. Something happened during his encounter with Kawashyta where now his ability to control the blooming along with the family blood is even worse. We even see that he can hear the first families' head in his thoughts. Which feels like a sign of bad things. He was able to calm down thinking of Mutusmi and is the reason the first looks the way she does is that she never had that kind of relationship with anyone?

So thanks to the encounter with Kawashyta, Tusbomi Yozakura can invade Taiyou's mind. Her request to Taiyou is to kill both version of her. Her old form and her new physical form. The issue with the current self is that this requires talking with Kawashyta as he is the one who has her the longest. Which leads him to want to take the Silver Rank Exam, so he can talk with Kawashyta off the record. The issue is overcoming the 3 best spies who are monitoring the exam, which are Kyouichirou, Futaba and Shinzou.
The exam was a test for Taiyou to steady his resolve. One of the biggest impact Taiyou has made in the family is with his heart and kindness. But the reality those are traits that could very well get him killed. A little cool insight on Shinzou's blooming destruction which destroys that which he fears. But what about those things he cherishes. Well any person would hesitate, which is what Taiyou needed. Overall the family would never fight against each other, so this issue would be an issue for Shinzou in combat. However in the purpose of this exam, it's one thing Taiyou can use to his advantage.
This test by Futaba was purely a technique test where they had to reverse and remove her Aiki from the tea. It's more simple than you would think, but solving the riddle is the hard part. A sweet moment for Futaba to see how far Taiyou has come since marrying Mutsumi and joining the family. Mutsumi held the burden of the family on her shoulders and Taiyou was the sun for her. As much as Mutsumi was a rock for Taiyou, you could argue the same if not even more in Mutsumi's case.
Kyouichirou was rather brutal. As diligent as ever he knows Taiyou has made contact with Tsubomi. The test of becoming a Silver-Ranked Spy is basically will Kyouichirou accept that he is ready. Quite simply he isn't at the moment. Very in character for Kyouichirou to be this impossible mountain to climb for Taiyou. Thanks to the connection with Tsubomi, he is able to utilize the Profuse Blooming of 10,000 Flowers to let him survive and pass the exam. The acknowledgment from Kyouichirou is a significant one. The key like when he first utilized blooming is how to keep this power in check.

We finally get Taiyou to visit Kawashyta to get an answer to destroy Tsubomi Yozakura. The book of buds is the key and reading it lies in using The Profuse Blooming of Ten Thousand Flowers. As expected, it is an advanced technique from Blooming from the Yozakura Family. Those who were given Tsubomi's blood can hear each other's thoughts. Clearly there is a difference then the regular Yozakura Family blood. Also, Momo can hear these thoughts as well. Which then he makes his appearance.
According to Kyouichirou, their father is the reason both their mother and Mutsumi went missing. Which more than likely lead to their mother's death. The big and interesting twist is that Momo is another Tsubomi. What does this mean exactly? Did Tsubomi's blood essentially take over for Momo? He still has a parental love for his kids so that might not be completely true. Hard to say but at the very least his goals no longer align with the main family. It seems like the very old Tsubomi mentions a new Yozakura Family. It feels like this Yozakura Family is one that is aligned with Kawashyta and Tsubomi's goals.
Taiyou makes the obvious choice to work with his former enemy in Kawashyta. The key at this point is to control the 10000 Flowers Blooming. I assume in the past Kawashyta figured that this was not a reality. But with Tsubomi offering that message to Taiyou gave him hope. It's hard to say at the very least we know the new goal. Although the issue for Taiyou is if he gets overcome by Tsubomi, which I assume is what happened to Momo. The biggest thing I wondered what is Tsubomi's actual goal. Her old body barely has memories and those like Momo who get consumed by the 10000 Flowers Blooming become an extension of her. Though given the voice of Tsubomi inside Taiyou and Kawashyta's wish to kill herself. Hard to say for certain but the very least go along with Tsubomi's request is the best first step for Taiyou and the Yozakura Family.
A few SoL chapters were pretty nice. The chapter where we see Kyouichirou in a kid form is actually really sweet as he hasn't always been this crazy guy. He has had a massive burden on protecting Mutsumi and the family as the first child and seeing the difference from how the family views him as an adult versus a kid is a little sad. It goes to show that none of these kids had any resemblance of a normal life. They really made Futaba like that cranky boomer who can't understand electronics before she gets angry. Mutsumi dieting chapter kind of put it in perspective how much different her role is then the rest of the family minus Shion. Though once again Taiyou and Mutsumi's relationship continues to shine, and he wants to support her through it all.

So the journey to dig up more into Momo leads Taiyou and the family to go the old Yozakura Residence, the Ninomae Manor. In which they encounter the 2nd head Ninomae and talk about a fierce opponent. To bluntly put it, her force made it so both Taiyou and Shinzo couldn't move. Even Futaba and her strength was fended off rather easily. Considering how Futaba hasn't encountered someone on a scale that could threaten her let alone beat her. But following this we had a nice moment between Kengo and Futaba. Ironically Kengo is a guy that acts a food, but beneath that mask had greatly cares for his family and is the most invested. Partially due to his abilities' power lies in manipulation then pure strength,
Next the family went to go to the Yozakura Silk Milk. They are greeted by the 5th head Itsuwa. In contrast, this head resembles Kengo. She tells us that the Black Cherry Blossom Roots are what Tsubomi uses to suck life from her descendants. But even more she uses her blood to awaken the former heads, which is very unsettling. Even more so giving them powers so that they can take care of themselves in combat. It would make sense that Tsubomi is withering away into a tree, but as a tree herself it harvests life force for her. The goal with Mutsumi is that she will be sacrificed as she provides the body she needs to live anew again.
In an interesting turn Itsuwa rebels and offers advice for the current family. The question here is that do the reborned heads have a will of their own? Or is this something Tsubomi can take away as well? This will be very relevant when Rei comes in the picture which I imagine even recovering her body, Momo having her heart might be enough. At the very least it leaves the family in a position to save Mutsumi for now. Though that doesn't mean Mutsumi is safe. Though the sad part of all this is Tsubomi is literally sacrificing her descendants 1 generation at a time. But ultimately what is her happiness?

Anyways, caught up with Heavenly Delusion (Tengoku Daimakyou) after I quickly read everything once the anime season ended.
Seems we are gonna get the full explanation as to why Robin ended up being such a monster.
I kinda like the fact that there's no telling were the story is leading towards. The manga could end in 10 chapters as it could end in 30. I hope the anime was successful enough to warrant a 2nd season because they were just about to get to the part were a lot of the questions begin to be answered.
