currently reading banana fish.
overall im enjoying the story a lot, theres plenty of twists and turns. i like the way the characters are written for the most part. they feel pretty realistic especially in the first few volumes. seeing ash struggle with being a killer and his demons with sexual assault are very compelling parts of the series.
halfway through it though he turns from "talented, handsome, smart teen killer" to "#1 assassin, the hottest most beautiful male model, smarter than einstein". he's developed into a mary sue kind of quickly.
i also feel like the story kind of spun out of control. banana fish turning into this giant conspiracy involving the u.s. military and central america is a large jump from the beginning but i'm still enjoying it.

As much I love Naruto for getting me into anime/manga I'll never forgive Kishi for creating so many interesting concepts/characters only to completely throw it out the window for the Sharingan and Hashirama cells.gonna end up getting more sharingan wank
