I'm gonna describe (from I remember) the beginning of a manga. Hopefully someone knows it and can tell what the title is. Dap and 2 Reps.
The beginning has this martial artist (MC) that's basically a wanderer in town and getting into trouble. He runs into a woman dressed as a man. But he doesn't realize it. The MC was a student of this master arts master and he now has this group of guys that follow him everywhere (in the shadows) to make sure he's not hurt. The woman dressed as a man is actually the granddaughter of the master of the MC.

Might do a read of Akagi, The same mangaka wrote Kurosawa and Kaiji. And boy he really knows how to convey human emotion thru his work, like complete despair. Nobody does like this.
Also, caught up on TOG. And I'm looking at One Piece like. 480 chapters we know where we are in plot vs almost 1K of chapters and we dikking around on islands, that magically are connected to the plot. But have no idea what treasure looks like or where it is.
