even if i get a bad night sleep I can take a nap on my lunch and be good. Not to mention like you mentioned when I went in had to deal with traffic horrible, paid money for lunch :picard:, you also get sick more , feel more depressed.

This is another major thing. I’ve been sick like 6 times this year. When I was wfh I never got sick. WOAT.

WFH is the best, had to go into look last week.

Left my house at 630 am and arrived at work 815am
Left work 345pm arrived home at 630pm

y'all can keep this going into work

I WFH two days a week so I either do Mon & Fri or Mon & Tues.

I be playing 2K on my down time and working but watching movies in the background :pachaha:

Shyt is the GOAT. It makes the five-day week go by alot quicker.

The new level of wfh is going red on teams/outlook. then people think you are offline. Cuz I swear when I'm on green early, I end up doing like 3 4 hours of random ish that wasn't on my agenda!
I got teams on my phone and load my calendar with bunch of DEI meetings and shyt, meanwhile I’m at the barbershop getting a cut :mjlol:

I made the mistake of getting a 30k increase to return to office full time. I was fully remote, working a cake job pulling over six already but thought I should make the pivot. Worse mistake probably in all of my life.

I’m giving it back, giving up 30 for fully remote once again. The money wasn’t even worth it, in sitting in traffic, paying for tolls, paying for lunch, being around people you couldn’t care less about. It’s. Not. Worth. It. Ever.

You guys get it. Unless your spouse/family are absolutely insufferable, I can’t imagine any downsides in WFH. The amount of money and time you actually save is insane. I absolutely love it.

I work from home half the day. I go in around 10am and leave around 2pm. I monitor safety from an app. Sometimes I have to send a ton of emails or make calls but most days I don't have to do anything besides send a safety notification here and there.

I created a system where the supervisors just have to check in certain times. But I can also monitor their progress from my laptop. It's great when it works correctly. The owner is lazy as fukk so he's cool with me doing whatever as long as the job is done.

I think the key here is to know your threshold. I don't WANNA go back to the office but I would in a heartbeat if it meant $30k more. If you've already reached your target then yeah I get it but I'm fukkin STARVIN :damn:

My mom's job just had a showdown between the top brass. Half of them wanted everyone back in the office full time, and the other half felt like there was no need to rock the boat. They compromised and now they have to go into the office once a week.
My company had a similar showdown with the C-Suite

Mainly HR Director (who’s new) pitched a return to office 2-3 days a week mandate.

But the executive director decided in September that there’s no mandate

Due to the fact that there’s not enough desks if everyone came in.

I come in twice a week anyway.

That's also what saved my mom, since they combined floors after the lockdown it would take too much work to put everything back to normal.

I’ve been WFH part time since 2016, and FT since COVID and wouldn’t change it for the world.

My sleep habits are terrible and I enjoy going out partying on random weeknights and it’s such a luxury to be able to nap it off or
take it slow throughout the next day.

My company could offer me another 25-30K salary increase and I’d pass if it meant having to give up my WFH schedule.

Whoever said Time >>> Money in this thread is 1000% correct.

i've realized teams is problematic. my phone be going off all day with messages, to the point i have to mute chats. remember back in the day we used to have to hold a meeting or at least call or concise email when you wanted to communicate. now people think they could just message consistently. well nobody said it was mandatory so i just close the app and check messages in the preview of my phone sporadically and respond as necessary. it's not really about not wanting to be monitored or whatver. half of the time, it just distracts me from doing what i have to do which is actually working lol. i don't really have one of those do-nothing "i can do my job in 2-3 hours and fukk off the rest" type jobs, i can literally be working from day to night and still have more ish to do. plus with unlimited PTO and making my own schedule, i don't really feel the need to take advantage of time on the clock. just be off when i'm off and working when i'm working :hubie:

I also had to Mute and silence my Teams messages for the same reason. Full blown conversations being done in there causing a distraction from actual work. I check it sporadically throughout the day and respond when needed.
