Nah I get it it's better than full time in office for sure. At the same time it's dumb as hell for a company to pay for a whole ass building for people to come in once a day. For the bottom line it'd be better to just give up the building and let people work from home.Majority would choose once a week over full time. You also have to factor in less wear and tear on your car.
Ok that makes it a little different as it's a company that actually needs a building and not as easy to just close that down.Nope, We both work at credit unions.
Do credit unions need a physical location? I guess if your local you need that physical interaction with customersOk that makes it a little different as it's a company that actually needs a building and not as easy to just close that down.
And cost of gas, cost of food if u buy lunch, opportunity cost of time, etc.Majority would choose once a week over full time. You also have to factor in less wear and tear on your car.
I hear you but I'm the opposite. My job fills like a hobby now which makes it easier to tolerate. I already have friends so I don't need the office to be social, and I don't mind doing a little overtime from the comfort of my home. When this thread stated I had a WFH job that was cool but overtime I grew to hate it, felt like I had no separation between my work life and personal life and shyt started to kill my mental health
I work a primarily on site position now where I do a lot of traveling and am in a much better headspace now, as an already introverted guy I realize it’s not optimal for me to spend so much time in the house and not socially interact with people as much. It’s my nature to do that but it’s probably for my own good that I force myself to go out and develop those relationships and have random social interaction.
I do miss saving on gas and food while WFH tho. I eat out a lot more now
I made the mistake of getting a 30k increase to return to office full time. I was fully remote, working a cake job pulling over six already but thought I should make the pivot. Worse mistake probably in all of my life.
I’m giving it back, giving up 30 for fully remote once again. The money wasn’t even worth it, in sitting in traffic, paying for tolls, paying for lunch, being around people you couldn’t care less about. It’s. Not. Worth. It. Ever.
