this.

IDGAF how nice the weather is getting, this WFH shyt is where is wanna be forever. Dept sent out a lil bootleg survey about coming back to the office. I have zero plans to return.

Have no desire to be around CACs and dealing with a commute + office bullshyt that will bloat my day along with having nothing to do with actual work.

Only thing I miss is the social stuff but these bytches pandemic choosing is a wayyyyyy better trade off. Not even worth it to burn vacation days when you can still travel and take the laptop and do the work. Either cash me out on my vacation days when I quit or my last 2 weeks will be a 2 week+ vacation.

As a company, we’re not set to come back until September.

But my manager moved outta state last year, and I’m his only direct report in the country, so he said I could continue to work remotely as long as I want.
We’re not doing anything until next year. Vaccinations aren’t even close enough to push that unless the company is doing 50% capacity

I wish all my brehs and brehettes could experience the joy of working from home. :blessed:

Haven’t seen my barber since October. I haven’t had to iron my clothes. I’ve saved so much money by not commuting.

I’m just glad I own residential and not commercial property. They’re fukked for real.:whew:

I feel you. Growing my hair out has been one of the highlights& prolly the most freeing experience of working from home. I haven’t shaved or cut my hair for almost a year and don’t plan on it.

I'm in sales, and outside of last years slow down and shock to the economy, our company is ramped back up and we are back to pre-pandemic revenue levels.

We had three offices in Toronto, company sold a 7 year lease for our downtown financial district office to WeWork (keep in mind that lease was 150k rent PER month) and kept a smaller office but went entirely virtual. We are cloud based anyway.

Let me tell you :wow:

I was making 200k before the pandemic but you factor in monthly commuting costs (gas, toll highway, time) that shyt piles up.

Now I drop my son off at school at 8:30 his school is 4 mins away, go to the gym (10 mins away), groceries and errands (all a short drive). Work 6 hours a day and do more with less. No aftercare costs since I pick up my kid at 3pm.

How about the clothes, for my work i wore suits DAILY, I won't need to re-invest in new suits and can just keep a rotation of 2-3 for client meetings when we are past COVID.

The funny things is before the pandemic I was splitting my time between working from home 3 days a week, office 2 days. So I already was about that WFH life.

Blessed is an understatement

We had our Zoom Townhall with our CEO on Tuesday. Some dusty cac had to nerve to ask when we are coming back in the office now that vaccines are being given out :hhh: I was fuking mortified. For one thing our office is open if you want to go in. But this cac is pushing mandatory office work. :picard:

The Ceo was like nah. We still do not know when this epidemic will be over or how effective the vaccines are just yet. So for now we will do whats in the best interest of the health of our employees. WFH for everyone. If you want to come into the office you can. :ehh:

The cac was :leostare:

I was :umad:

nikka I moved out of state using this WFH:banderas:

One thing you gotta realize is that people who have miserable home lives are always the ones desperate to go back to the office.

To be fair the pandemic has been a challenge for marriages, relationships especially when you see each other 24-7.

But there are people who literally view their work as their entire social life. Pathetic.

So since the lockdown, most of our office people have been working from home and today one of them dropped in at work which we got us talking and I’m not gonna lie, shyt had me heated.

He starts work at 9am, but gets out of bed at around 8:30am, has a quick breakfast before working. Meanwhile since my commute is 1 and a half hours, I get up at 5:45am, shower, breakfast and leave the house in the dark rainy weather :stopitslime:

On top of all this, this shyt is like a pay rise for these folks cos I spend thousands a year on public transportation, food at work, clothes etc, whilst they pretty much save all their money on that shyt whilst earning the same money. This is some bullshyt :mjcry:

Not gonna lie, shyt has me looking at other career options where I can also wfh cos these nikkas really have it made.

word. I’m never going back into an office I’m
Stacking big money
