One thing you gotta realize is that people who have miserable home lives are always the ones desperate to go back to the office.

To be fair the pandemic has been a challenge for marriages, relationships especially when you see each other 24-7.

But there are people who literally view their work as their entire social life. Pathetic.
I didn’t understand when I was younger why so many people wanted to work late at the office or stay in the bar until closing time. Now that I’ve been living with my lady, I completely understand now. :francis:

this.

IDGAF how nice the weather is getting, this WFH shyt is where is wanna be forever. Dept sent out a lil bootleg survey about coming back to the office. I have zero plans to return.

Have no desire to be around CACs and dealing with a commute + office bullshyt that will bloat my day along with having nothing to do with actual work.

Only thing I miss is the social stuff but these bytches pandemic choosing is a wayyyyyy better trade off. Not even worth it to burn vacation days when you can still travel and take the laptop and do the work. Either cash me out on my vacation days when I quit or my last 2 weeks will be a 2 week+ vacation.

I’ve been to Cali, Utah, Arizona, Texas twice and Mexico. 0 vacation days used. About to hit FL, Detroit and Chicago in 2 weeks.

I barely do any work as it is I just keep my team on point and I look good. And we ain’t never going back to office :win:

We had our Zoom Townhall with our CEO on Tuesday. Some dusty cac had to nerve to ask when we are coming back in the office now that vaccines are being given out :hhh: I was fuking mortified. For one thing our office is open if you want to go in. But this cac is pushing mandatory office work. :picard:

The Ceo was like nah. We still do not know when this epidemic will be over or how effective the vaccines are just yet. So for now we will do whats in the best interest of the health of our employees. WFH for everyone. If you want to come into the office you can. :ehh:

There’s literally NO reason for office folks to be in the office outside of the higher ups want to be able to have eyes on you. At least for what i do. There’s clowns here that have asked about going back to the office and not just as far as wanting to know, i mean as far as WANTING to go back :mindblown:

man you ain’t lying. Folks say that shyt in a joking way but be dead serious. Dude saying he can’t wait to get back to his “work wife”.

the miserable people bring that misery to work tho. I do not miss that shyt. Co-worker catch you in the break room and start complaining about their marriage and shyt.

Just need to quickly vent about some of the Boomers in my office, and their mindset with WFH. My former Superior (who I am now equal to given a recent role change) just keeps complaining about people not in the office enough and how she cannot wait until we are back full time. I challenged her on this saying why? We have enough people in the Firm to cover shyt like the door for couriers and mail, etc. Her response was it is just easier to walk to someone's office to ask them something. I said that is what Slack and phone is for.

She keeps clamoring on the fact that her work requires her to be in office more as the files/hardcopies are in the office. I said this stuff is saved into our document management system also. I have had no issue pulling things electronically. and if I know it's coming up on a day I'm WFH, then I make my scans beforehand or take the paper copies home. And that going forward most things we are not keeping hardcopies for anymore at all. Scan/save and shred the shyt.

I'm starting to feel like this particular generation thinks their role suddenly becomes more expendable if they work from home and that they need to be in office to show their worth to the company. I guess it didn't help that she has sort of been on the outs with the Partners the last few months so she's purposely coming in 4-5 days a week just to prove something. Almost making the rest of us looking bad for sticking to 1 or 2 days, even though the Partners themselves said that is fine.

I really don't understand the resistance to WFH from some people. I know some just don't want to be home at all due to children/spouse but others have this odd close mindedness to it. I won't lie it is nice to drive into the office once in awhile to get out, but I can easily do 4 of 5 days WFH and be more productive overall.

I never understood why people were so ready to get back in the office. I have been doing much better health wise at home. I'm on a call and those damn cacs be like "so boss have you heard when we are going back in?:to:". I'm here like :whoa: on mute but shyt I dont ever want to go back. Luckily no one knows because the state is ready to let go of some leases to save money.
