If I remember correctly, his folks were dead pre-crisis era. Johnathan kinda died when Superman "died" in the beginning of the issue that introduced the four other SupermenMoS gave us a shyt childhood and one of the dumbest pa kent deaths i've ever seen. That shyt was gloomy boring bullshyt. Im all for origin flicks if u make it interesting but the shyt wasnt interesting to me and the new take on superman was a misstep imo. shyt if snyder wanted to do something new he could've kept his pops alive since he nvr dies in the comics. In terms of repeat viewings all that shyt still gets skipped
People forget or just didn't notice that Zod wanted that fight to be in a city where people would be killed from collateral damage. With Zod being a seasoned military general and Superman being a novice that never been in a fight, or physically hurt before, Superman couldn't stop him.Man of Steel was great. People bytched about it just to bytch about something.
I get tired of people complaining about the destruction. You have two invulnerable gods going all out, the fukk you think was gonna happen?
"But...but..Superman doesn't kill."
Zod straight up said that if Superman doesn't kill him, he's gonna kill every single human on earth. Unlike any other bytchmade Superman villian you've seen in the movies, Zod could actually pull it off and kill every single human on earth just by himself and NOBODY would be able to stop him. Supes HAD to kill him.
im not the biggest superman fan but i believe he's only died like 3x in the entire existence of superman in the comics. He seems to always die at some point in live action iterations for some reasonIf I remember correctly, his folks were dead pre-crisis era. Remember in Superman 2 when they fought in the middle of Metropolis Superman stopped fighting Zod to save lives? That's hero shyt my G.Man of Steel was great. People bytched about it just to bytch about something.

Dramatic effect. Superman the Movie will always be the standard people base other live action Superman on whether right or wrongim not the biggest superman fan but i believe he's only died like 3x in the entire existence of superman in the comics. Case in pointRemember in Superman 2 when they fought in the middle of Metropolis Superman stopped fighting Zod to save lives? That's hero shyt my G.
Stopped reading when you went into a psuedo intellectual tangent, so the first sentence. Zod was an average villain at best . Ronan with more screen time basically.
now u know killmonger was a better villain in every fukking way, stop thisPlease name a better MCU or DCEU villain.
I get it and im used to it but it was still his dumbest death in live action history. I would've rather him died from a heart attack on the farm like in the novel than the way they did it in this. Whoever gave the greenlight for that scene should have the taste slapped out their mouthDramatic effect. Superman the Movie will always be the standard people base other live action Superman on whether right or wrong
It pains them that people love this film.Of course, the usual suspects pop up with their tired stan routine

ahh ok you're one of those guys. I'll let u do u then. I bow outOn paper.
MBJ's portrayal was just above-average. This has been thoroughly discussed since BP release.
