The movie was alright it had some cheesy moments but the movie was still good. I wish Lois didn't find out superman was clark before she knew Clark tho

Y'all saw the Lexcorp truck right :jawalrus:

I may be wrong but I got the impression that some residents of Smallville know Clark is Superman but will choose to protect his identity

Youre not wrong and it makes more sense.

Obviously they dont know hes from krypton and shyt but well before zod arrived some knew he was a very...very powerful special kid.

I like how they shattered the 1930s era superman logic in a few moves.

1. I thought about it and I love what they did with LL. So they get a pass.

2. I get that. And it makes complete sense BUT I feel like having the suit come from his bio dad instead of mom loses a bit of symbolism. IIRC his mom made his original suit and I see him accepting it as him accepting the responsibility to protect humans from humanity itself. A bit of reach, I admit. I'm not explaining it very well. I guess getting the suit from Jor-El makes the messianic themes work better (which I'm not sure I like)

3. But I like that part!

I decided I like the movie.

Edit: I remember seeing the Lex/Clark thing in the original cartoon tho

They chose this route for the suit to make it more realistic and to make more sense. The suit was basically what Kryptonians wore under armor, sort of like under-armor for nfl players with the pads over em. I always felt it was kinda corny for his mom to make his suit for him with the cape and everything..felt cheesy, now when I see the suit, the cape and the symbol (that meant hope)...i'm like oh ok, this makes way more sense.

The only small gripe I have with the suit is that it's basically indestructible...it would be dope to see it rip from all the damage supes took throughout the film...and that man took a lot of damage.

Too much PIFF!

Out of all the ppl who died, what made THAT last family so special?

But I'm mad how the movie basically stole Transformers' whole premise

And did anyone else notice the Jesus symbolism throughout?

I got the perfect superman sequel. Luthos is rebuilding metropolis, makin cake and trying to become a hero by shaming superman for property damage and bringing his problems to earth. Doomsday comes to earth, supporting his claims and bodies superman and gets bodied himself. Lex Luthor gets a piece of supermans dna, clones him, and also releases a robot version of superman in an effort to win over the people. Doomsday comes back to life and the clone and robot with the help of Supergirl, who really does most of the work are able to drive off Doomsday. Luthor is lauded as a hero and uses this new fame to strengthen his run for president. He reveals some kind of insidious plan thats going to take place once he becomes presdient. Superman comes back to life as Domsday is back for another round fukking shyt up. The clone and robot are unable to fukk with Dooms this time around and back down leaving him to fukk shyt up. Superman comes back to life, kills the clone/robot, battles supergirl to a stale mate in epic battles. They join forces to fight doomsday. In the background Lois is diggin dirt on Lex and in the end Lex is shamed, loses his bid for presidency and Doomsday is killed by Superman and supergirl in another epic battle. In the final battle a pissed of lex gets in a robot suit and tries to get at superman, loses and goes to jail but Luthor hints how he owns so much of the city, he'll walk. Superman realizes his most powerful foe, isnt an alien.

:whoo: Go on and take that hollywood, i aint mad at cha. :win:

Melodramatic death scene of Poppa Clark dying saving a dog was horrible and IDK how I feel about Superman killing Zod, but a great film. :salute:

It makes less sense to me. :yeshrug: why would Jor-El choose red and blue?! Why not black with a silver S like the Death of Superman suit? That would make more sense to me. Then the whole "is he friend or foe" would be a little more understandable. I mean, they are already changing shyt. That whole "it's not an s, it means hope" stuff was forced to me. That is way cornier then him going "hey ma, can you make me a red and blue suit? What are they calling me? Superman? Ok, slap an S on that shyt then..."

I agree, an indestructible man doesn't need an indestructible suit.

Agreed

And did anyone else notice the Jesus symbolism throughout? Yes, someone posted an article about it.

The suit was the same color as Jor-El's suit. Again, to me this makes more sense because it's actually what his family wore...not some hand made suit that was made with fabrics one earth. If his moms made the suit that shyt wouldnt last 2 mins after the fight with Faora and that big nikka...

Zod's suit was all black with his own symbol...it wouldn't make sense to have the good guy and bad guy wearing the same color....
