i don't get why people are uptight with superman killing zod. he didn't really had a CHOICE. zod had to get got SOONER or later. but lets be real, even NOLAN objected to this idsea originally and both goyer and snyder had to convince him that they HAD to give a REASON why superman doesn't like killing, because it was NEVER EVER EXPLAINED before. and really, it hasn't.

this was why superman let out a scream of anguish afterwards realizing whut he had done. dude lost control and unleashed that power he been self-containing. (something faora exposed earlier)

Movie dragged in the beginning and those flashbacks were tedious but that action made up for all of that :wow:

Only thing I didn't really like was

Pa Kent dying trying to save a fukking dog. Seriously :wtf:

It's been explained countless times before. They even have multiple explanations. Hell one of the stories that they drew inspiration from gave a specific reason for his no killing rule.

And As I already said he did have a choice. They tried to specifically come up with a situation to force him to kill someone and they still failed at that shyt.

He had the strength to snap Zod's neck so why didn't he just fly the both of them straight up into the air and out of the building?

where in ANY superman film has it been stated?

in fact, he KILLS ZOD in superman II!!

and whut CHOICE did superman had? ZOD clearly stated he was going to kill every human being. he wasn't going to stop. he had nothing else to lose either. he HAD to die.

I don't mind Superman snapping necks, I'm fact my Dream is to see Batman snap Jokers neck in a live action The Dark Knight Returns. Would be one of the greatest moments in film.

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
Okay, now that I've seen it twice.

I ride for Hans Zimmer da gawd, but I think this was one of his worst efforts as far as a score. Is it good? Yes. But, it's not great. And Hans delivers greatness. I also think they played, "What are you going to do when you're not saving the world," way too much. They played it about 10 times in the movie, but that's on the director and sound guy I guess.

I don't see where Christopher Reeves was digitally imposed over Cavill anywhere in the film. I know it's supposed to be when he's under the world engine (my favorite scene in the film), but I don't see it. I think it's wishful thinking by fans.

I was surprised there were no real homages to the other films in the movie. No, "Kneel before Zod," Superman circling the globe with the :smugfavre: or something to that effect. I think it would've been cool, but I'm not mad they didn't.

Crowe was a great Jor-El. He brought a certain gravitas to the role.

I've never had an issue with Superman killing Zod, but if you're going to do it, go all the way. For me, snapping a Kryptonian's neck just doesn't sit well; if you're going to have him kill Zod, have him pull his head off. You accomplish a few things: you show the true strength of Superman when he's not holding back, and leave no doubt that Zod is dead. Also, it's a more jarring ending.

Zod HAD to die in the context of this movie. Superman didn't have another way to open the Phantom Zone and he didn't know of any way to restrain Zod long-term from terrorizing humanity.

If he flies out of the building, then what? Just keep fighting?

they could've bit transformers and held him is some secure chamber or some shyt until faora the queen escaped the phantom zone to rescue him. I understand the villian has to fall but not like that. :skip:
