Movie was dope.. my only complaints were

Superman killing Zod

and
Lois finding out that Superman is Clark Kent before they even begin working together

Yeah there was def a lot crammed into this though

Also, was Lana Lang the girl from the school bus or did they just not introduce her?

I don't understand these critics on RT saying they didn't like the movie because it "strayed too far" from Christopher Reeve. :dahell:

That's like bytching about Dark Knight not being campy and "straying too far" from Adam West. :snoop:

Chris Reeve and Adam West's shyt was :lawd: when I was a kid but damn it's been like 30 or 40 years for them 2. Time for a change :manny:

It's not a fair complaint to bytch about the movie not being more like Donner's superman film....BUT with that said there are some things in the movie that Superman flat out shouldn't be doing.

It's a good movie that could have been a LOT better if not for Snyder and Goyer fukking with fundamental aspects of the Superman character.

Snyder needs his ass beat for that shyt....You just don't do that with Superman.

and
Lois finding out that Superman is Clark Kent before they even begin working together

I was bothered by this at first, but the more I thought about it the more it made sense and will help remove some of the more problematic elements that could arise in sequels.

Also, was Lana Lang the girl from the school bus or did they just not introduce her?

I'm pretty sure it was Lana Lang. They never mentioned her last name but they definitely said she was Lana.

With all the complaints I got though It's still LIGHTYEARS better than Superman returns.

If they kept Superman's main fundamentals, the movie would have been a lot worse. We're not living in a black and white world anymore. So it's good they put Superman in a sort of grey area.

All that campy shiit Supes is known for is what makes him a boring character.

They did the same thing on Smallville and I liked it. It keeps one of the best investigative reporters in the world from looking like a fukkin retard :heh:

Who said anything about Campy shyt? :why:

If you saw the movie you know damn well what I'm talking about that they did that they shouldn't have done. They didn't do that shyt with Batman, so why do it with Superman?

shyt was just lazy, and i just read an article where apparently Snyder and Goyer consulted Nolan and the guys at DC and they told them not to do that bullshyt either.

What about Superman technically offing Doomsday?

Superman has never killed Doomsday. Unless you're talking about that bullshyt direct to DVD cartoon that heavily panned by damn near everybody.

Actually though in Smallville it wasn't as bad since she never actually saw his face when he was doing super shyt. He was just moving around at super speed. They even went as far as having him use shyt to disguise his voice.

Yeah good point. But he did finally come out the closet (or I guess phone booth :russ:) and tell her in the last season so she at least knew before "the blur" went public. And while we on the subject

You could make a case for Batman leaving Ra's to die in BB, and tackling Harvey Dent off the ledge in TDK.

So he knocked Doomsday unconscious i the comics? :mjpls:

Actually yeah, that's exactly what happened. Superman pretty much just knocks Doomsday into a coma and "dies" in the process. You find out like the Very next issue that Doomsday is still alive.

There's a big difference between not saving someone and killing someone in cold blood. In fact he pretty much says just that during that scene. Something about 'I wont kill you but I don't have to save you either".

In the scene with Harvey Dent he also wasn't trying to kill Harvey in cold blood. He was clearly just trying to tackle Harvey and save the boy, unless you want to try and argue he was trying to kill the boy too because all three of them went over the ledge.

Superman straight up snapped Zod's neck. Hell if he had enough strength to snap his neck why didn't he just fly him straight up out of the building?

Let's not forget about Batman 89.

And that was bullshyt too...People still complain about that attack on the chemical plant. In the Nolan films he had a very strict no killing rule and he said as much in every fukking film.
