I don't know what they've done to Dr. Octopus in the last few years, but at one point he was kind of a big deal, one of Parker's most prominent arch nemesis. Which leads me to a major point of contention I have with comic books universes; they continue to introduce these entities who are more powerful than the last to the point where mere mortals are interacting with gods . So when a guy like Octopus kills Parker it doesn't have as much impact IMO when the fact that HE did it should have almost as much impact as the actual event.

Parker will be back.....and there is nothing wrong with him dying.....it's comic books the shyt always happens and besides at least what marvel is doing is interesting....I can't wait to buy superior Spider-man....I just hope what I think is gonna happen wont happen

I for one quit Spider-Man cold turkey after One More Day. I can tolerate bad storylines, but when you just say that what I've been reading on and off since I was a kid in the 80's didn't happen and blink it out of existence with a magic spell, you're disrespecting me as a reader. So I never spent another dime or even a second browsing in the store on a Spider-Man comic since.

Jean never really came back. There's been some weird imaginings in Cyclops' head, AOA Jean(Nate Grey's mother), and the new young Jean Grey from the 60s but she's been gone since 2004.

Which is my problem with this. If Peter knew what had to be done to reverse it then he would have known that Doc Ock would have some kind of plan too. It made Peter seem stupid which is why I think something else was done.....Peter would prepare for Doc Ock to have shielded his head. We'll see though
