Like someone else said, they need to reboot these stories every ten years anyway. There is only so much you can do within one continuity and keep readers interested. I stopped giving a shyt about American comics long ago because nothing really ever mattered.

Superman isn't the most greatest hero of all time. Superman was boring a LONG time ago. Hasn't meant shyt since Reeves did it but Spider-Man? Who doesn't love the damn Spider-Man story? Written at his best? It's the best comic story there is.

As for it being the same or not? There's been alot of Spider-Man changes. When he went Black Spider-Man some years ago and was whooping everyone's asses and beat the shyt out of Kingpin after he shot Aunt May..the deal with Mephisto that ended his marriage with Mary Jane that pissed fans off...when he told everyone who he was around Civil War which was retconned OUT by the Mephisto deal:laugh: Just a little off brand.

:stylesp: What do you mean by blackspiderman. :stopitslime:

with completely new characters or have the same characters different storylines?

I'd be down for the latter.

Mix of both. Just give the writers a clean slate to create something new. A boss character in a previous story could be fodder in the new one and vice versa.

So it'd be like a more well executed "What if" or "House of M" type deal?

Give each generation they're own version of Tony Stark or Peter Parker or something.

U dont need to reboot shyt..you just need creative writers. Marvel has never rebooted anything. They just do renumbering. Too much has happened to wipe shyt clean..that's what alternate universes are for.
