you dont have to do all that to be a smark.

theres levels to this.

i initally became a smark, just off Apter mags and watching everything, regardless of logos. if it wasnt for that, i wouldve gave up wrestling by 4th-5th grade, just like most other people that see wrestling as a childhood fad. no way i wouldve made it thru if i was just watching the WWF in late 93-95 and was a marky mark.

If Apter mags, which were straight kayfabe, makes you a smark, I guess I was a smark too then... :mjlol:

I bought those all the time when i was a kid.

I see it already looking back at videos from 2007 and it’s just laughable :laff::laff::laff:

Yup... I was watching that shyt and most of the time underwhelmed in 07, but i got a nephew that loved the whole damn thing. Hell, some people in here enjoyed the New Generation era as kids and I was only a teenager clocking outta all that shyt. One thing that's never gonna change is adults talkin shyt about somethin while the kids love it. It's kinda embarrassing in hindsight that there were whole 30+ year olds trying to shout down kids at wrestling shows because they hated Cena's gotdamn push (JR voice), but :manny: it's the circle of life. Everybody has their own version of "back in the day" when everything was great.

In a span of 15 days, we just had double or nothing, dominion, against all odds and in your house. All dope ass shows. And HIAC might be good too.

Nxt in your house >>>>>> the 90s in your house ppvs

Imagine having apps to watch all this stuff back in the day and being able to download the other shows and/or catch YouTube slippin.

Any fan that's a kid today is gonna have access to a lot more wrestling from across the world at their fingertips compared to the 90's. Definitely a lane to choose from other than WWF/WCW/ECW in the mid-90's

They’ll also get the erasure and sanitization of a lot of the older stuff as well.

Nah, that stuff happening with Roman Reigns is too real for a kid to appreciate. Best angle since Summer of Punk.

:blessed:
We came up watching Jake Roberts slapping the shyt out of Elizabeth..Rick Rude slamming Steamboat's face into concrete for accidentally hitting Madusa...Berzerker trying to murder the Undertaker on Superstars at 10am.

I’m guilty of it, around 2010-11, I was so nostalgic over 07 but then I actually sat down and watched 07 on the Network and it was mid, although SmackDown wasn’t bad, Raw was worse than I remembered.

I was never nostalgic over this era though but this was trending one day on Twitter for being the good ol days :russ:

07 was a horrible year for wwe
That's exactly when I stopped watching especially when they had Cena vs that corny wannabe k-fed and Rosie vs trump:hhh:

But overall the era I watched was late attitude early ruthless agression and they had to many good moments too miss:yeshrug:

All the people complaining about wrestling now in their 20s and 30s are gonna run into people in 10 years who will tell you this era was lit for them.

I thought the New Generation era was fun as a kid and it sucked for people older than me. My generation started not to watch after 2001-2003 with attitude era/WCW gone/ Austin/Rock gone and Triple H and Batista and Cena overemphasized and the bad weird McMahon Ruthless Agression angles and yet I see people online who love that era for the Hardys Smackdown Six and those corny storylines.

I can already see things from the past 10 years that people will remember fondly even though they were complaining about it in realtime

Nostaliga happens

I started watching at the very beginning of the PG era and I know people don't look back on that era fondly, but I still do. That's when wrestling was the most exciting for me, and there was some residual magic left over from the mid-2000s so the vibe was different.

That old intro. :mjcry:

Back when RAW was two hours. :mjcry:

Was this 2012? I think that was the first year where I wasn't watching every single week. No, wait, it was 2013.
