Honestly…I feel like with anything, community is a super big part of fandom and with wrestling, the community is cheeks.

The wrestling community at this point is just a buncha guys hate watching tv shows to critique. Middle aged dudes trying to convince strangers to think what they think and getting aggressive when they don’t. It’s all super weird. TK/Triple H etc ain’t putting out a good enough product for me to actively wanna be apart of that lol

So basically, I think I kinda outgrew it. The community put me off to the point where I not only stopped watching wrestling but I very actively hate it because of the fans that represent it. I heard Cena turned heel and I didn’t even look up clips. That’s when I knew it was over for me with this wrestling stuff.
Social media algorithms are a cancer. Not just for wrestling either. Amplifies all the worst parts of humanity.

But instead of giving up my weekly watch of RAW. I’ve just stopped caring for IWC opinions. I avoid all that shyt on X now lol.
For me at least it was never really about caring about anyone’s opinion, it was more so the community itself. That’s really the foundation of being a fan. The conversation after the game and between games (for sports) the speculation on player movement and shyt, that’s the real fun that fuels everything. With wrestling that part stopped being that for me. Choppin it up about wrestling feels like pulling teeth these days. shyts a battle. Once being a fan of something feels like a battle, it’s time for me to get out.

I’ll always have an appreciation for it because I grew up with it, but I outgrew wanting to actively participate in being a fan. I stopped watching, blocked and unfollowed anything affiliated with the sport. Muted the word wrestling itself. I got out lol

letting others affect what you watch is odd, especially IWC weirdos. :mjlol:

Dudes i go to shows with aren’t even like the IWC fanbase. Just ease off the spots.

I hear you but that’s an oversimplification of what I’m saying lol. I legit want no association with anything when the fanbase is that

Wrestling fanbase in 2025 is like.. it’s like a club where nobody wants to be because they all hate it there, but for some reason they can’t stop going continuously. You’re greeted at the door with people screaming at you about why you shouldn’t be here, and if you’re like “I kinda like the drinks” they’re gonna be like NAH.. at some point you kinda have to just stop going. Maybe you outgrew that club. I outgrew the club. This tv show ain’t for me anymore. Focused on other shyt I like lol

TSC has chilled a bit with the bullshyt, but there’s still those attention seekers that wanna pop off.

At some point you just gotta ignore the negativity and enjoy what you like. Don’t let other opinions affect your enjoyment no matter how toxic it is. Remember, the IWC is only a small portion of the audience, but since it’s the interwebs it’s very vocal.

If you’re burned out, that’s fine. maybe down the road you’ll get back to it. I’m surprised a Cena heel turn didn’t get you interested.

Nah I feel you. It’s why I tried making that one thread where I wanted wrestling fandom to be cool.

I got a roommate I watch it with. Then I have a group of friends we shoot the shyt with. I got a friend who hates Jey uso, I got a friend that loves Seth Rollins. Different opinions I like to make fun of and shoot the shyt with my guys but at the end of the day it’s just a fun way for me and my community to connect.

IWC forgets not everything is for them and they go so hard it’s so lame like touch a titty bro. It’s really just a tv show at the end of the day.

The heel turn on Jey shows how lame the IWC can be.

There's all types. There's the teenage kids and worse the 40-year old dudes who be nitpicking shyt the whole time.... I went to a RAW where these two beards wouldn't shut the fukk up, acting like they're bookers...
Yeah fukk those guys. That’s what actually ruins wrestling. I feel like we as tsc posters do that too but when you’re at the show doing it you’re the problem.

Nitpickers in wrestling are the worst because, other than no selling or finisher/superkick/destroyer spam, they completely gloss over the fact that a significant amount of the moves performed in wrestling would never work in any kind of real fight and many of them would actually do more damage to the person performing the move if it was done shoot style.
