That old intro. :mjcry:

Back when RAW was two hours. :mjcry:

Was this 2012? I think that was the first year where I wasn't watching every single week. No, wait, it was 2013.

That was 2011-mid 2012

This was 2012-13

I still go back and watch the lead up to Punk’s heel turn sometimes, pretty good stuff and Raw in 2013 was dope.

Any fan that's a kid today is gonna have access to a lot more wrestling from across the world at their fingertips compared to the 90's. Definitely a lane to choose from other than WWF/WCW/ECW in the mid-90's

i used to read the mags, pretending that i was watching USWA, SMW, etc

i thought IWGP was the name of the promotion.

Uswa used to come on ESPN like 2am on a Sat or something. We used to be up all night playing video games and watched it in the background..Lawler always had the belt..AWA? Thats when I first saw Mr. Perfect.

i used to watch the USWA at 4pm on ESPN when the GWF would showcase them in their timeslo

but i was a marky-mark in those days. i was like 7-8.
im moreso talking a few years later when i hit smarkville somewhat. by then, i could only follow it thru whatever limited coverage they got in Apter mags.

You would be doing tik tok videos.

No i wouldn't. That's nowhere near my lane.

Nor is tik-tok of any correlation to wrestling for it to be an alternative to it.

It's not a narrative we have a mountain of data that says kids don't watch wrestling like they once did. It's middle aged men.

Where in your data does it say that kids stopped watching altogether?

I'm not saying it's as popular with the kids as if used to be, but kids are still watching.

Kids aren't even into the product.

My gf's little brother (who's 14 now) dipped out of wrestling 4 years ago :laff:. You'd be surprised at how common that is. The craziest thing is he saw me watching Lucha Underground one day and was very into it at the time and eventually caught more episodes for himself, mentioning how it "feels so different and exciting from the WWE". The amount of access to wrestling is unreal, but wrestling in general does not at all strike a chord with kids the way it did previous generations. It's like having a ton of streaming services available to you but don't even care for music that much :dead:

I mean, you're asking these little ADHD ridden kids to sit still and watch like five hours of product from some dude who also has ADHD and changes everything on the fly. No kids are going to sit and watch this shyt. Most of the people who still follow or watch are people who followed for decades. I can't imagine too many people said, "Man I came up during the Guest Host Era! :lolbron:". AEW's fanbase is only slightly younger too. It's harder to cater to kids, so it's going to be interesting to see what they do as their fanbase ages.

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
I see it already looking back at videos from 2007 and it’s just laughable :laff::laff::laff:
I saw someone make a comment on a YT video saying, "Remember when DX blew up Vince's limo with fireworks on the fourth of July? That was great." and I almost hit him back saying, "No the hell it wasn't." and then it hit me that that commenter was probably a kid when that was going on so of course it was awesome to him/her. Meanwhile, I was watching two men in their 40's having a mid-life crisis while telling their grudge filled boss to suck it. :hhh:
