a lot of knicks in here coming off as mad ungreatful in here
best player we've had since ewing who just played his ass off in a diaster season and yall telling him to bounce like he a one night stand:snoop:
just so disrespectful:snoop:

i say this again. if we lose melo, we are fukked for atleast the next 5 years
why any knick fans would want this is beyond me
Man, shut up. He forced his ass over here and made the team deplete all their assets because he wanted his money. He got what he wanted, upped his profile, put up career highs, give us a winning season/took us to the playoffs(championship was never feasible), and now he wants to weigh his options. I'm frankly tired of Melo ball and dude didn't want to buy into the same philosophy of moving the basketball that's made The Spurs successful and what's Phil is preaching right now. You can not sit here and tell him how shytty our basketball experience was watching The Knicks play this year and how jarring that was in contrast to how The Spurs played. If they give Melo what he wants, we're gonna get the same kind of play from this team -- Melo getting his while the team just stands around with their dikks on their hands.

Carmelo Anthony said he is willing to make changes to his game if Phil Jackson believes the prolific scorer has to do so to win an NBA title.

Anthony, who is a pending free agent, said the Knicks' big picture "is definitely more attractive" with Jackson's arrival.

"I'm willing to do whatever," Anthony said after practice Monday. "As long as it's gonna put me in a position to win, I'm willing to do whatever. I'm not sold or stuck on my play."

"What I've been able to do these past 10-11 years has gotten me at where I am right now," Anthony continued. "If Phil wants to come in and change that this late in my career, if it's going to help me win a championship, I'm with it."

Just admit you have a personal problem with melo

homie hasnt said one negative thing about the knicks or phil jackson said he arrived. he just said last week "he loves what phil is doing" and a interview just dropped today with him praising the hell out of new york city and the fans.

Homie can weigh his options if he wants, odds are hes doing it so phil doesnt just sit back and wait a year to make any moves. he wants some improvements now and that is fair. cant put all our eggs in one basket.

the one year we put a decent team around with this guy we won 54 games and got to the second round
if it wasn't for injuries and disappearing acts, who knows how far we coulda gone

*Long sigh of confusion & uncertainty*

LATE 1st rounder though? :ld:

I flip flop on the topic of Shump more than a politician but...

I don't know where I stand right now... I think I want to keep him. Especially if Melo is going, this next year could be a chance to give him a blank check to show his ass off.

Brehs...:lupe:

I really don't know what our team will look like next year. This is scary as hell...but also exciting...
I was just thinking about something after I woke up just now....does this situation remind you of when Phil jackson joined the bulls and introduced the triangle and they instantly got better? Maybe we are underestimating just how better they have gotten....but I think Melo still needs a Pippin...right now I think we need to try and get a solidccenter

At This point it's waste of typing so I'll stop now . You really think if melo takes a paycut guys like @Trip and @The War Report will give him credit ? They'll say it wasn't big enough cut
I believe it when I see it. Old habits die hard.
The man didn't pass the ball more last season ? Played more defense ? Tried to guard the best players at times? Let me guess your response will be he didn't pass enough and defend enough :snoop: you just want melo to go that's the bottom line .

The knicks need to focus on getting better rebounders....theyw err in the bottom 5 last year...far too many 2 guards and not enough centers

@The War Report you my breh but you need to stop being pessimistic my dude.
Let's say we get rid of melo and his contract " build around the draft" and see if we can get top name free agents over here. We starting from ground zero breh. And their is No guarantees any of the picks or free agents we would get would work well or even develop to championship or even playoff status.

Melo IS a keg cog to this whole plan and I'm pretty sure he can get behind any operation a proven individual like Phil would devise.

Even though we might not make much noise next year we still a playoff team. And u know good and well Woodson cost us like 10+ games with his late game decisions that would've put us straight into the playoffs.

My thing is with the east being so wide open except for maybe the heat and I think the wizards.... with a better system in place we can snag a mid to top seed for next year. Then comes 2015 and we will have draft pick and some dough to throw around so breh just sit back enjoy what plans Phil has up his sleeve it's about to get interesting:salute:

not my point....theres a style thats conducive to winning and his wasnt/isnt....

moving the ball>>>>>jab-stepping for 10 seconds just to settle for a contested jumper
theres several ways to win a championship
99 percent of them start with having other stars on your team
something melo has never had
the only times he even had something close to a superstar (past primes billups, jason kidd etc)
he's had his best seasons and gone his furthest in the playoffs
put some other stars around him and watch what happens

what 'several' ways?

ive been watching the nba a long-time...and team-ball wins championships...

iso/one-man-gang ball doesnt....its good for the regular season and highlights but when the game slows down and youre playing the same team for a week...not gonna cut it

and you dont necessarily need other 'stars', it doesnt hurt...you need good complimentary players....
