:heh: How did 'Melo not make his teammates better if they became the GOAT 3-pt shooting team last season (finished in the top 10 this season, despite injury) from his scoring prowess getting them all those open looks? How is he ball-dominate when Felton led the team in touches this season and has probably never lead his team in touches? Billups led them in that category in Denver. This means, he plays off the ball and leads his teams in usage because of the PG's orchestration. Different shoulder. If you don't like 'Melo and worship Lj (remember this thread?:pachaha:), who leads his team, not only in usage, but in touches because he is ball-dominate (because he can't play off the ball), then just say so; no need to make things up. :mjlol:

Nice post. :sassure:

Wouldn't shock me either if Pau is brought here on a short contract. And yea, the triangle doesn't require a top PG, but we def need one that plays D & can hit an open 3. If they end up having Shump try to be that guy he needs to go into a wild PG boot camp with Jason Otter or something:

Go ahead and give Melo that 5 year 130 million dollar deal... You're a smart one!

:mjlol:
i say the window is 3 years with Melo and i dont see us acquiring the right pieces in that time..........so while some want to make this a referendum on LBJ vs Melo the fact stands while Melo is prob the best scorer in the game i dont think the knicks win with him due to it not being the right time............please remember how amazing AI was a player ........amazing but also ultimately flawed .........or rather we unfairly view them to be more than they really are.............i say we reach out for sign n trade deals

He already said that he's willing to take less to stay here so that they will have the money for free agents in 2015. Don't get mad because Boston will be sh*t for the next decade.

i think a sign and trade for melo to get some younger assets has to be explored............he is an elite scorer ball dominant small forward who rebounds while not necessarily making his team mates better plus coming off a second year should injury ( i believe its the same shoulder - true above waist injuries are less serious but still ) ..................if we can get some assets back in return and end up poised for greatness (like philly) then surely it must be considered

Can't trade a player that opts out of a contract bruh

If Knicks can't find a trade for Bargnani then I'd have no issue if they just waived him and carried his $12m to next offseason and just have it off the books. Knicks don't gotta make a bad trade to dump him. Pretty much on the same page as most on here.
I am in the minority, but I think Bargnani can be used in some capacity, even if very limited. Don't neg me brehs. :damholdon:

Boston is set up for the next decade as well as any team and actually have a decent coach and smart people in their front office

You've had one year where you made it to the second round since 97? What the fukk are you talking about? Look at your roster

 Look at your roster, your best asset is on the trading block, and might be in a Knicks uniform soon.
