We had back to back top 10 picks and drafted gallo and Jordan hill . The blazers are a good example. Of how the draft can backfire and. Succeed , they missed out on. Jordan and Kd . Now if kd leaves okc and they never won a title aren't they really in the same boat as the Knicks as they never won a title . NBA has the least amount of parity of any sport you can do all that stuff your saying and never get better than a conference finals appearance . The. Nba isn't as Easy to predict as you make it , sixers tanked and missed out on both top players cavs attempted to make the playoffs and got the first pick . The east is weak breh knocks should give their best effort this year

But the following year the Knicks didn't have their pick. If the Knicks had their pick in 2010, they would've of been able to select George. Also you wouldn't have Melo, if it wasn't for Gallo, so you just proved my point(get top draft pick, worst case you move the pick for established player).

if we suck and get a high pick sure im against tanking which is no guarantee of a top 1 or 2 picks as Philly showed us . Cleveland was closer to the playoffs than the sixers and got it
i accidentally erased the last part of your quote but you keep making arguments no one is making . No one said we are anti greatness or anti draft just antitank . You act As if tanking is a sure fire way to be great . By the way chandler was c
fukk I'm having trouble highlighting things on my iPhone , but no one is saying that. All we want is to just make the playoffs and everything else is gravy . I want to make the playoffs and then build off that , besides the easyt is more open next year than you are acting like in the bold part , we have no idea how good this team will be without seeing them play . I think healthy jr makes for a big difference than the jr who started out last year . And if we disappoint then we have cap space

Would this team be able to beat Cleveland in seven games? A healthy Bulls team? The answers to both of these questions is a very resounding no. So you're once again looking forward to a second round exit. :blessed:.Also the Knicks had capspace in 2010 and ended up with Amare and Felton. :scusthov:

Tanking is a losers mentality, point blank period.

But looking forward to losing in the 1st or 2nd round of the playoffs is a winners mentality. :dwillhuh:

We are one or two players from 55 wins +

If we get Marc or Monroe with a secondary scorer like a Bledsoe we'll be good

Paul George ? We don't have the patience to let Paul George develop. Ok your point is stupid because we already signed melo and aren't the least bit looking to be in tank mode why would we tank to waste a year of Melos prime ?? For maybe no real payoff .
Now you're back tracking.
no I'm not you took my quote and ran with it. I never said he was a scoring pg did I ? I made a general statement and as usual you ran with some negative bull because that's what you do . Don't act like your some stats fact guru I remember you once trying to say allllll, these players were better than jr when stats clearly were against that and I pointed it out and you were on some ohhhh they just are ( damn logic or stats I don't like JR!) !!! If you have nothing to contribute besides doom and gloom why don't you just be quiet until the Knicks lose.

Again because you don't think the Knicks can beat the bulls ( who haven't been healthy in years ) your saying we looking forward to a second round loss but NOONE HAS SAID THAT!!!! Maybe we think the Knicks can get further than you do. Unless you got a crystal Ball that says the bulls won't have their typical injuries

Melo was traded for in 2011, George was signed in 2010. When the Knicks traded for Melo, they were around .500 and not a chip team, so your point of wasting Melo's prime is irrelevant. Not too mention the Knicks weren't good til the 2012-2013 season. You have George in 2010-2011(Knicks got swept in 2011) and you have an asset to get possibly Chris Paul that following off-season(he got traded before the 2011-2012 season) or at worst a young athletic wing to guard the team's best player.

Let's say get Marc Gasol, where are you going to get the cap space to sign a defensive wing; a defensive 4, and bench players?

Say Marc Gasol n a Wilson Chandler type

or Greg Monroe/ Bledsoe

I think we'll be good

Bring in Thianis and ring chasers at that point n we'll be good

shump is a defensive wing in theory , thansis will hopefully be a defensive 4 and the Knicks have consistently found bench players that's the least of our worries ( see copeland , Tyler , shump , fields , Novak , Lin , thjr , cleanthony etc )

Where did I ever say I wanted pg ??? I think he's 100 % overrated as hell I don't want him and I've said prior to this I think hes as effective as he is due to being on the pacers . Paul George wasn't no asset to get cp3 in 2011. The knicks got swept due to both amare and billuos getting hurt plus Jared Jeffries not dunking a perfect pass from Melo under the basket where he instead bobbled and hesistated . I know the Knicks history I'm a Knicks fan and the plan was to go after cp3 which didn't work . My point of wasting Melos prime isht irrelevant because I'm in 2014 so tanking this year would be a waste of his prime so I'm not sure what you thought I meant but I mean this year because we don't have time machines .

Why are still debating this :snoop: it's not happening niccas need to move on. We can have a great season ..., and still not win the title ! It's the nba not the nfl random teams don't become championship contenders every year . We can also tank and get a bust. I'd rather give Melo a chance with a new system and what looks like to be a actual game plan for the future . Idk why the tank contingent is mad at people for not wanting to tank as if us tanking guarantees us a successful future . We are not doing it as we see Phil didn't go that route let's discuss other shyt . Like what's gonna Happen with thansis or something

Props to Melo.

Has a superstar ever made a statement like this?

If you're talkin' 'bout the “I don't expect to win a championship this year” comment, Lj said the same thing about his new team in his Sports Illustrated announcement of his decision to return to Cleveland. Phil said the same thing about NY.

If not that comment, what comment are you referring to?

There is a link to a very good article in this tweet that shows just why tanking would be the single dumbest thing they could do this coming season:
