If he were to leave, I hope he goes to Miami. That would instantaneously rejuvenate this franchise and create a legit hated rival. Something we haven't really had since the Pacers or the Mourning Heat.
This roster isn't the Bucks without Melo.
Why would you want the best team in the league to get better? Rejuvenate? Nobody cares about a rivalry, we just want to win.
Whether Melo leaves or stays, I think Phil can make the most out of either scenario and turn it into success for the Knicks, so I'm not sweating Melo's decision too much.
