This might sound like old man ranting but do you think the movie theater experience has gotten worse?

Even if you go to the theater often, I feel like there might only be 1 or 2 movies a year that are really good and deliver on the big screen.

I struggle to even remember the last few movies I've seen at the theater. I want to say Dune Part 2, and Top Gun Maverick.

For most releases I just wait for it to drop online or streaming.

What's the last movie you saw in the theater?
And was it worth it or would you have preferred to see it at home?

the shape of water..the US government found an alien and kept it captive to experiment on it, and this janitor lady stumbles upon the alien..basically they form some type of relationship, breaks the alien out, they start fukking, gov't finds out where the alien is at and tries to capture it but the chick and the alien slide off into the sunset..i know it's my bad for not doing my research, but i'm never going to a movie theater again

The second Jurassic World movie or the 2pac biopic, IDK which one came out last. Seeing the 2pac biopic in theaters was an L as while I did enjoy the movie, it was not theater quality :mjlol: It came across as one of those low budget hood movies that would be on Tubi. The Straight Outta Compton biopic was a far better movie even though I watched it at home.

Saw Wicked and Sonic 3 on the big screen recently and both were well worth it. Rekindled my love of the theater and motivated me and the family to start going more often again. We have a great setup at home but some movies deserve to be experienced on the “silver screen.”

:wow: we back in theater next month for Marvel Gang

Only movies that get me in the theater are comic, action, or the occasional sci-fi movie.

Watching regular shyt like dramas can he done at home. It's not really worth it to go to the movies for those to me. It's just people talking and making faces like :dahell: or :ohhh:

I'm sure some dramas have been good on a big screen.

Even a wholesome movie like Forrest Gump would be fine in a theater.
