nikkas deflecting like muhhh in here :wtf:
But since we deflecting :youngsabo:

Imma need receipts on this whole "Kanye has whole verses written for him" shyt. None of you supposed industry nikkas talking about what you "saw" either :martin:
nikkas was trying to discredit his pen some years back but they came up short.

I heard rhymefest gave him jesus walks. I don't respect that at all but other than that i ain't seen no PROOF. I know for a fact that he has a bunch of beat makers in the studio and he doesn't really program beats anymore but technically he's still the producer.

Evidence wrote a lot of College Dropout, DJ Babu produced some of it. Consequence has written for him as have many others. Kendrick and Big Sean wrote multiple bars of No More Parties In LA.

Kanye has always worked the same. He has people come in and rhyme over beats that might not be on the album, and he takes various lines and adds them to each song. If you don't believe me that's fine. But that's reality.

It means something within the spirit of the genre.
This isn't even unique to Hip-Hop, the Monkee's caught hell in the 60's when people found
out they didn't write a single thing. Those dudes took it to heart so much that they decided to try
and learn their instruments and genuinely become a band.

Having writing teams and no real musical talent has been issue of "Pop" music for a minute now.
Once auto-tune came on the scene and they realized they could manufacture an artist
who couldn't sing, play a single instrument, make beats or write a lyric, they poured their money into it.

I don't want Hip-Hop going forward to become "Edgy Pop" where essentially people are walking, talking
caricatures with no redeeming artistic qualities that are cobbled together in a boardroom meeting.

I mean do we really want more Iggy azalea's and less Big Seans, Wales etc. ?
:whoa:I damn sure don't want anymore Big Seans

Just going by ear, to me it always sounded like Kanye had a different writer for each project.

CD - Rhymefest

LR - Consequence
Graduation - He tried by himself (see Drunken Hot Girls, Stronger :scusthov:) and used old shyt (Homecoming) :yeshrug:Reaching...I know.

808s - Cudi

MBDTF - Cyhi (maybe a little Consequence)

Yeezus - Travis Scott

im just saying i used to respect drake for the creativity i saw in his music but now i cant
dont hate the man
dont carry no ill will
just dont respect his artistry anymore

He makes good music....but hes a fraud. His credibility has been shot.

i have never gotten the drake love from jump street. he's never said or rapped anythin' remotely worth the hype he gets and his singin' is awful. i mean, i get how he sells. the whole mixed canadian jewish boy from canada angle. i get it. he was like a unicorn in hip hop. but what i wanna know is why some people in the industry were capin' so hard for him? i'm guessin' because it made them look good and there was money in involved and a feature as well just in case they need it if their career needs that boost?

but this whole shyt with other people writin' the vast majority and or all of his songs? well it's no surprise. i ain't surprise in the least bit. it's just more funny to me that it's taken people this long to really catch on and actually be more surprise by it.

i'll never forget when he was just makin' his round in the states and poppin' up at shows in houston and nikkas was ridin' for him like was the second comin' of rakim or some shyt. i kept hearin' his features (even though i knew of him from degrassi) i still was like, "what is it they hear that i don't because this shyt is weak and corny" lmao)

i don't usually say this about artists, but he has to be the most overrated artist ever embraced by hip hop. i can't think of any other nikka more overrated than him. he really has been this built up image that a lot of people just ate up and got bamboozled by.

corniest "rapper" or whatever label you wanna give him, of all time. hands down
This.

He makes Eminem look more credible and respectable by default.

And it really takes alot for me to admit a man like eminem who made a racist song is a more respectable rapper than....anyone really.

But against Drake? At this point its easy for me to say thi.
