Defenders are going as fast as humanly possible being taught to do exactly what they've been doing their entire lives but you're asking them to suddenly decide not to hit a quarterback who's playing that game.

It's total BS and it's not putting the defender in the best position possible to succeed.

CJ Stroud should have been more mobile at times and picking up the blitz. Some of those sacks are on him no matter how poor his line played

Exactly this is beyond a Patrick Mahomes problem it's a league wide issue.

It's gotten so out of control that these guys literally are scared to even make a basic tackle.

These quarterbacks are faster and more mobile than ever before and now all the rules simply benefit their style of play even more.

It's like the NBA when they wanted to increase scoring. Now the defense can't do anything.

They need a rule change like the NBA did when it came to baiting fouls.

If you blatantly slide late or blatantly don't go out of bounds when all indications were you were going to do it there needs to be a penalty. Or you are marked out of bounds when you started tiptoeing.

There's a huge difference between a guy running full speed on the sideline and clearly making a move, vs a guy tiptoeing to get a horseshyt 1st down or stop and get hit inbounds to get a flag.

Because these things have gotten so out of control it's actually disgusting to watch.
