Gotta protect your QB. Texans lead in nearly every category to win, but gave up 8 sacks as well, even when they brought in more blockers (Dalton was trash chip blocking). It’s hard to overcome the egregious ref bullshyt when you also shoot yourself in your own feet. The refs held their hands and spoon fed the hell out of them, but they didn’t make the Kaimi miss a FG, miss an extra point, nor give up big returns. I have NO issue with QB's being "protected". It is better for the overall product of the game.

HOWEVER, personal foul calls, especially roughing the passer calls need to be reviewable. No excuse for it.


And, the entire "Brady always got calls and was more protected than other QB's" was always such a a garbage narrative that had no actual substance to it.
