Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
:dead:

So you show a clip of their offense.

Can any of you dudes explain to me how they handle the high screen, I'd really like to know your breakdown :mjlol: Keep in mind they never had a top 5 defense, and by todays standards giving up 105-107pts per 100 possessions would get you smoked.
did you not pay attention

by having 6'9 magic stick his fukking forearm into curry's chest and not allow him to move, while also not getting a foul called on him for doing so

before making comments, realize he said "in our era" we'd blow them out... and in "the current times, THEY WOULD WIN"

so magic fully understands basketball and is agreeing they'd lose NOW

but back in the day... fukk a high screen... a team of small ass frail nikkas like this would get bodied trying to run that pretty basketball

'87 lakers gave up 108ppg
88 lakers gave up 107 ppg

but tell me more about their physical defense :russ:

then the warriors play zone and none of them lakers could shoot 3s :lolbron:
there would be no zone... magic said we'd blow them out "IN OUR ERA"

so zone wouldn't be an option

Well depending on the rules that they play under it might not be an outlandish claim

with that said I am generally of the opinion that defenses and offenses are better now than they were in the 80's and 90's

it seems that the notion of this warriors squad being the greatest basketball that has ever been played has gotten to scorching levels of hyperbole

This is what makes these arguments so stupid.. It creates these scenarios where one team has gone through an evolution and found more efficient and dynamic ways to play.. While the other team is stuck in a time capsule with no advancements in technology or philosophy and stubbornly tries to do everything the "old fashion way "while wearing Converse Weapons with no arch support..

:russ:

The debate all relies on one team making zero adjustments in preparation and execution..

Like Kareem who learned under John Wooden..

Worthy who learned under Dean Smith..

Magic who learned under Judd Heathcote

And Pat Riley who learned under Adolf Rump :mjpls:

Couldn't sit down in film sessions and come up with a plan to guard the high pick and roll. Or neutralize stretch 4..Or wouldn't shoot 1000 more 3s after practice everday.

:russ:

They would all just stand there with urine running down their legs, while 3s rained in over their heads ,before GS hopped back in their time machine to the future...

:troll:

:mjlol:

That's why these hypothetical match ups are ridiculous

What y'all failed to account for is put them in that era with those rules, that means the warriors play by them too.

You don't think dray would drop these old c00ns if they took cheap shots at the waffle bros? Can you not see Harrison Barnes giving hard fouls too?
Magic needs to shut up with the era shyt. Like they gonna jump out a time machine like "this aint how we play in the 10s :mjcry:"

No, if currys warriors existed in that decade, they would play that decades style of basketball.

What magic said is actually a slight to his laker squad. He said they would get beat in this era, thats basically admitting they used underhanded tactics and tomfoolery back in the day

Fine.
Let the Warriors play in that 80s era...where teams didn't attempt 30 three pointers a game. And Curry's point totals would likely be in the high teens/low 20s at best
