Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Here's the thing... Why are yall comparing vastly different ideological approaches to basketball to begin with...

Wildly different eras....... Wildly different rules.... .Wildly different styles.... shyt is all hypotheticals..... and makes for bad talking points right out the gate....

Because, the current style would work back then, there's nothing preventing a team from using high screen and rolls with a ton of threes and ball movement, other than ideology.

Trying to win nowadays with teams shrinking the floor and not being able to shoot threes is a death sentence :yeshrug:

I know exactly what I'm seeing.

Can Draymond create his own shot? Yes or no?

You clearly don't know what you're seeing, much like my poor breh @Raul.

What I'm saying is that Draymond Green/Kurt Rambis or Worthy (or whomever the Lakers choose to guard him) isn't anywhere near the disadvantage as Kareem/Bogut is.

Or as big a disadvantage as Magic/Barnes is.

Again, you don't know what you're talking about, the mismatch Green presents isn't that he's going to score, it's that he strings your big men out 25 feet from the rim using the high screen and puts you in terrible position. He's almost always involved in what they're doing so your big man is always under pressure to either get out on Curry or make the right read when covering Green.

You seem to think the danger is from Green getting 20pts, it's from him getting assists and hockey assists where your defense has to scramble to pick up shooters because your big jumped the screen, he rolls to the rim and your defense rotates to him leaving 1 of several 38% + three point shooters with an open look.

The Lakers would/could force Green to shoot and not trail him to give the other guys the open looks.
Make Green hit them jumpers all game.

:manny:

Those Lakers teams had 4 or 5 guys on the roster shooting 50%+ on the season.

I don't see how you can sit here and actually say with a straight face that a 1-time championship team would beat an all-time great dynasty with 2 of the best players who ever played the game...and that the key to it is a PF who is in his 4th year of his career and wouldn't even break the Top 100 at the position (yet)

I watch old highlights and it's not like guys are getting clotheslined on every play. It looks pretty much the same.
the greatest player of all time... the greatest finisher at the basket...

couldn't get nowhere without 3 nikkas straight assaulting this nikka when he came to the hole... no techs.. no ejections... no suspensions.... nothing

Why would Klay be on Magic?

Why wouldn't they just put Barnes on him and hide Curry on Cooper? You're too caught up in names.
barnes guarding the pg position :mjlol:

then who's guarding worthy at the SF position?

and where's the help for bogut... jabbar was shytting on prime wilt and you think bogut would be doing what exactly? :jbhmm:

and for the third time.... he admitted they'd lose TODAY

what he said was put them in our era and we'd literally elbow these nikkas in the mouth and call it a day

he gave them their props... even said what they would do if they went small ball consider pat riley invented small ball

This is what makes these arguments so stupid.. It creates these scenarios where one team has gone through an evolution and found more efficient and dynamic ways to play.. While the other team is stuck in a time capsule with no advancements in technology or philosophy and stubbornly tries to do everything the "old fashion way "while wearing Converse Weapons with no arch support..

:russ:

The debate all relies on one team making zero adjustments in preparation and execution..

Like Kareem who learned under John Wooden..

Worthy who learned under Dean Smith..

Magic who learned under Judd Heathcote

And Pat Riley who learned under Adolf Rump :mjpls:

Couldn't sit down in film sessions and come up with a plan to guard the high pick and roll. Or neutralize stretch 4..Or wouldn't shoot 1000 more 3s after practice everday.

:russ:

They would all just stand there with urine running down their legs, while 3s rained in over their heads ,before GS hopped back in their time machine to the future...

The lakers are the best open court tea m ever. They can play faster thab the warriors and can slow it down with cap. I dare the warriors to go small with green on cap. He gets killed. The idea of barnew guarding magic is laughabe. And who the he guards big game??
Cap
Worthy
Cooper
Byron
Magic.every dude 6 6 and up athletic amd can get up court.

Warriors have no answer for cap, magic, or james

There was no assault there. Just guarding him closely with multiple guys. Same thing happens to Curry.

Who's guarding Curry? & Draymond at the 4 is already a problem for bigs who play in the space-the-floor era now, imagine the issues he'd cause against a roster that not used to a 4 shooting 3s, bringing the ball up the floor, & making the right passes on the fly
