No doubt some may like that game, but others won’t.
Me personally, I just think “major” entertainment isn’t on the same magnitude it once was because there are now platforms like TikTok, Twitch, etc. That’s why the NBA caters to them so heavy. People like iShowSpeed who had 37 million viewers recently pull in way more eyes than NBA games now. That’s what all these major brands are competing against. I honestly think it’s a big factor: attention goes to where their crowd goes. People used to congregate around sports and they don’t as much anymore.
Sports feats don’t draw as many mainstream headlines anymore either. I remember when I was playing an MMORPG back in the day a group of nerds that don’t watch sports heard about Kobe’s 81-point game. Now it’s what these streamers do that gets the attention and shock value.
