A lot of you dudes didn't watch the games. It is not about the Super Bowl it was about the totality of the season. Don't get me wrong he coached great in the Super Bowl but he was bad in the previous 2 playoff games especially the Lions game where he did not dial up any real pressure with one of the most expensive front sevens in all of football. Not saying he was the #1 coach that deserved to be fired but I could see both the pluses and minuses of keeping him.

DC was pretty bad ngl in 4th and OT. Made Shanahan override his undisguised cover 0 with a timeout. I don't get all out blitzing mahomes.

I doubt this one game is the reason though, probably accumulated throughout the playoffs.

I think Kyle wanted someone with experience who could handle the duty with little input on his part for one.

Secondly. Wilks specialty lies in the coaching and developing DBs and sometimes we forget outside Mooney and Isiah Oliver all our CBs mostly 23-24 years old and could be coached up.

I think Kyle thought his schemes would at least comparable against the run with relatively little drop off and better against the pass and it seemed that way initially but cracks began to show really on the Browns game.
