Shanny wasn't the head coach of the Falcons no matter how many people try to tell you he was. The team allowed Brady to drive up and down the field at will in the second half and in OT with very little resistance. They put up a lot of points on a Bill Belichick defense. It's not the same situation at all.

Technically the Falcons O scored 21, not 28. But yeah, I feel Kyle gets too much heat for that loss. He gets more than Dan Quinn.

One of the key plays of that loss was because Devonta Freeman missed his assignment on a play where Aldrick Robinson might have gone for a TD. But instead, it was a strip sack.

You are up 8, first and ten on your opponents' 20 yard line, after one of the greatest cstches in NFL history...with a little over 4 minutes to go, and you find a way to not even get the insurance points? Are you serious? He couldnt have mismanaged that more. That was time to be Marty Scchottenheimer. You run, run, run and then kick the fg, assuming you dont get a 1st down.

For a control-the-clock offense like Shanahan's, this type of run D is unacceptable. Wilks couldn't get the defense off the damn field on 3rd downs all season long. His own players (and not just Bosa) were calling him out earlier in the season.
