Don shouldn't have sad "okay." They emasculated him :snoop: Doesn't he realize he can make a killing elsewhere? I don't get it :mindblown:
Don doesn't want to run from his problems anymore. He wants to fix this situation himself and he has a vested interest in the company where as if he would go to somewhere else, he is actually just another employee. It works our for both parties but some of the folks are just being a$$holes about it.

He wanted to get back in with Sterling Cooper because he is plotting another hostile takeover...Peggy will eventually be an ally for him because as many issues as she has with Don, he always treated her with more respect and dignity than Lou Avery ever will...Don and Peggy have always been the protagonists of this show.. The fact that episode 1 this year ended with them both crying alone in their apartment is a set up for some type of grand redemption imo..

Don without Meagan as a distraction is gonna get back to being the shark he was in season 3 ....He's going to be way more focused.. If you look back the time he first started getting soft was when he got with Meagan.. Even when things were good in their relationship he was coming in late, taking long lunches, napping in the office, getting emasculated at suprise parties and doing all these things that were against his character..He hasn't been hungry in years..Now he's gonna be forced to get back into beastmode to save his career and partnership..Because besides Sally he knows thats all he has to live for..It's his complete identity at this point...

Roger styled on them. That buyout shyt is serious business. Joan sitting there saying "this is working" :stopitslime: on what planet is it working? That office is out of order at every angle and there is no hierarchy to speak of and everyone is trying to cut everyone else's legs off. And all those "smart" people in one room and no one thought of this buyout stuff before Roger bought it up?

I think everyone has their own selfish reasons for not wanting Don back. Before his meltdown he was the most influential and powerful man at the agency and his absence has allowed for the other partners, most noticeably Joan and Cutler to steal some of that power. If they really wanted, they could have figured out a way to deal with buying him out, it was the thought of Don working for their competition that really changed their mind.

Joan has some animosity towards Don because he told Jaguar to fukk off and Joan felt like she did that for nothing. Don was being a selfish prick and not giving a fukk about how anyone else was feeling. He was a fukking mess. I really thought that Don was going to tell them to fukk off after they read him those stipulations.

:ohhh: that's right, completely forgot about that.

props breh :salute:

Right because by the time they broke even, he'd be killing them elsewhere

Out here in my damn drawls
The kind of kind that doesn't really get all that much attention from his mother? :ld:

What the fukk does she do all day? She essentially has 2 kids at this point given that Sally went away to school

Henry is a busy politician and he managed to build a relationship with him vs. Betty who has more time to do virtually nothing :dead:

She doesn't do shyt :heh:

but Betty isn't emotionally approachable and even when she's around she relates to Bobby at arms length. That's why she feels her kids don't love her, because she can't reciprocate properly. The problem is she isn't self aware enough to see how she projects her frustration at her own emotional shortcomings onto them.

Roger shytting all over Cutler was one of the goat Mad Men moments :wow:

Don Draper will rise again :blessed: notice how everyone went out to greet him and most of them were happy he was back. He IS the agency. He is 'that guy'. He was willing to listen to Ginsberg, Stan and the other guys. Then Peggy shyts on him :pacspit:

Don will rise but he isn't the same guy anymore. That break he had at the end of last season was necessary for him so now he's trying to rise up as who he really is, not as the facade he was or the person he was before he became "Don Draper" it was one thing when he was rising up in the ranks and people thought he was one way but now people know who he really is..they know his warts and flaws and his vulnerabilities. I think that's the main reason he decided to take this job even with all the crap they're throwing at him: He wants to prove to them but mainly himself that he can make it being completely who he is
